So much for the myth that yesterdays athletes couldnt compete with modern players.

He could score AT WILL.

May sould like hersey - but Alcindor made John Wooden

Wooden won titles at UCLA with a couple of short teams -then Alcindor came along and cememted the UCLA dynasty.

UCLA won a couple of more titles after Alcider with out a center - (but players like Sidney Wicks - then Walton came along.

and lots of times, he didn't even run down court. And he didn't really try... except during the playoffs.
