The 13th Amendment says "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."

Should the "except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted" be removed?

No. I have no problem with having Convicted drunk drivers having to pick up trash along the side of the road while they serve their sentences.

No, because when you are convicted and charged for a crime, then you lose your rights as a citizen under said conviction, and then you are locked up against your will. A Freeman or woman you are not, and this whether you are black, white or green once you are locked up. Anyone with common sense knows what it all means, and it does not mean that an innocent man or woman of any specific color is being made a slave to the system under non conviction.

This bullcrap attempt at challenging everything that this country has put in place to represent law and order, and to represent the American people has to be called out for what it is. It's an attempt at distortion of the founding in order to somehow bred guilt, and to somehow over throw the founding of this country instead of adapting to it, and it adapting to us over time. The changes made over time are sufficient, and what we are seeing now is just idiocy and activism.

Yes. You either condone slavery or you do not.

What's this got to do with "Kanye West" ?

There is a difference between imprisonment and slavery.

Now that would always depend on the enslaved/imprisoned person's opinion of the situation wouldn't you agree ?? I mean I could be locked up by what I think is a racist judge, and think that I am being placed back into slavery by racism all over again, but of course that might be me using such a thing to get out of the situation also. Throwing that race card has become a common thing these days.
