Today is the Transgendered Day Of Remembrance. On each November 20th, we remember the victims of homicidal violence who were transgendered. (A transgendered person has a gender identity at odds with their physical self, whether surgically corrected or not.) All humans are of equal value, and homicide laws should be applied equally without devaluing any catagory of people.
This year alone, we lost almost 200 TG people to homicide. It is reasonably believed that most of the victims are selected by their murderers based on their status as TG people, because such people are feared and hated and because solving the murders of such victims are expected to be assigned a low priority by police.
Please join me today in calling for Justice For All Victims Of Homicide.
