What right wing nitwits haven't yet figured out, is that an economy is like an aircraft carrier that cannot change direction like one would do to a bicycle's handlebars.........

The first year (and even the second) of an administration is really an extension of the PREVIOUS administration......the good and the bad inherited.

Trump was extremely lucky to have inherited a strong and growing economy from the last years of the Obama administration........as Obama was very "unlucky" to have had to shoulder the disasters of GWB's last two years of his administration.
To deny this is just partisanship or willful ignorance.

Obama made tons of mistakes during his 2 terms.....yet, smarter Americans should realize what our economy would be like today if an inept and self-centered Trump would have directly followed the GWB years.

Like Trumps whole life........he was born on Third Base and takes credit for hitting a triple

With the economy, Trump entered the game standing on third base and now takes credit for earning it

Obama entered the game with two strikes against him and managed to get us to third

Nope, Praising President Trump for "Making America Great Again". I know you shit stains don't like U.S. Exceptionalism, because there is nothing special about you libturds. We the People on the other hand love it when we excel. Why else are the Olympics so hailed when the US gets gold....Dumbass.

A Look Back At Each Of Team USA's 46 Gold Medals Won At The Rio Olympics

Let me guess, you give Trump credit for the medals also.

At least he isn't saying this. I am sure Obama was telling the athletes that without him they never would of won gold.

We went from an anti business president (who got help from Janet yellen and Republican pro business govenors) to a pro business president..

Only in Democrat la la land do they think an anti business president like Obama was better.

Agreed. The economy is still Obama's just like Obama's first years were Bush Jr's work. The irony here is every time the market goes too high it crashes, happened with Reagan and Bush Jr, no need to mention the twenties is there. Trump gave the rich more, and the rich do not make or control the economy, so it will be interesting when the next crash comes.

"The top 1 percent of Americans now take in roughly one-fourth of America’s total income every year. In terms of wealth rather than income,... the top 1 percent now controls 40 percent of the total. This is new. Twenty-five years ago, the corresponding figures were 12 percent and 33 percent." Joseph Stiglitz

'The highest period of growth in U.S. history (1933-1973): Tax cuts spur economic growth

*jobs - unemployment
Truman 1953 2.5%
Eisenhower 1961 6.5%
Kennedy/Johnson 1969 3.5%
Nixon/Ford 1977 7.5%
Carter 1981 7.5%
Reagan/Bush 1993 7.3%
Clinton 2001 4.2%
GW Bush 2009 7.6%
Obama present 4.9%
The pattern is stark. Democrats create jobs and prosperity, historically as far back as we have statistics. Here are some more numbers. for you.
Total Jobs Created Since World War II
Democrats 75 million
Republicans 35 million

Bush, like a drunken idiot, had driven the economy into a ditch and had gotten it stuck.

Obama was hired to drive the economy out of the ditch. Unfortunately, he was inexperienced and had no idea what he was doing, and only made the situation 10x worse. The economy was now hopelessly bogged down, with the wheels spinning and no traction.

Then the American people hired a professional named Trump to pull the economy out of the ditch and get it back on the road. He got into the drivers seat, and had the economy out of the ditch, and driving down the road in record time.

Thank you Pres, Trump......

How silly. Normally that could be claimed to some degree, but we do not live in normal times. GWB was a half -Democrat, spending like a drunken sailor on crack, and the 110th Congress burned the rest.

Then came Obama, pushing his nonsensical "fundamental change". Market increases under Obama's negative business policies were a recovery, not gain, and took their time recovering at that, because Obama engendered no confidence within the business community.

Conversely, the market has been climbing rapidly since the day of Trump's election, not because of Trump specifically, but because industry confidence has grown and continues to grow due to the renewed pro-business stance of the current administration and its policies.

/----/ First of all I reject your notion that the US economy is like an aircraft carrier. You fail to back that up with any data to prove. It's a flawed analogy.
Secondly, Libtards gave Obozo credit to any improvement in the economy immediately after he took office, so your statement is flawed.
The moment Trump was declared the winner, businesses began taking themselves out of the safe mode they have been in for the last 8 years.
Donald Trump gives the economy a boost
... the Trump presidency has ended Washington D.C.’s war against business. The Obama-era regulatory rampage has come to a screeching halt — just ask the left-wing interest groups, who are apoplectic about what Mr. Trump is doing.

Some 16 Obama-era regulations have been suspended so far for every new regulation imposed. A notable dividend from these policies is the improbable comeback in coal.

Coal production is up more than 12 percent this year after being declared a dead industry by liberals last year — which means not just more mining jobs, but added hiring in trucking, steel and manufacturing as well. That’s a microcosm of the Trump effect.

GWB was wonderful mainly for retiring Al Gore, and keeping that blithering idiot Kerry out of the White House.

The following figures are from Forbes....one of Trump's [ex] favorite magazines.
