Just normal people

When my mother-in-law was a very young girl, during the Great Depression, she was alone near the Columbia River in North Portland, a rather rough neighborhood at the time. A guy, dressed in regular workman's clothes, tried to grab her. Up over the bank came a very dirty hobo, and told the fellow that he could run or die. The hobo then walked her home, and left. She never knew his name or story. Hero's indeed come from all classes and strata in life. It is simply doing what is right and neccessary, irregardless of personal risk. Should I find myself in a situation where such action is neccessary, I hope that I measure up.
