The forum CAN be interesting, it can ALSO get boring at times, during the boring times everyone goes to the Secret Porn Section

The forum also CAN be VERY mean spirited so you will need to have a thick skin and operate on Ignore The Crap Mode, if crap gets too much then my advice is to abandon thread and not get involved in 28 pages of arguing of the "Fuck You!" "No, Fuck YOU!" type of endless bitching.

This forum can ALSO be generously spirited as recently illustrated by some of us assisting a forum member who has lost EVERYTHING in the Paradise fire thing, this illustrated the best of many from across the political spectrum and it shows that politics ISN'T EVERYTHING and that politics should NEVER be EVERYTHING.

Most everyone is looking for "both sides" of the current events. Message boards are your best bet. Not Cable news, not Twitter. It's confrontational --- but if you stick the topics and don't bite on the personal bait -- you can actually be better informed on issues and events than most all the folks on FaceBook...

Message boards are the oldest form of social media. And they are still relevant.. IMO..

Welcome. Give it while. See if you feel smarter or not..
