    Dear Patriot,

In what is becoming a trend, another big government establishment Republican has signaled that we can expect Congressional Republican leadership to blow over like a house of cards when it comes to the debt ceiling now standing at 14.3 trillion dollars. Sen. Mitch McConnell (r-KY) was first to fold and now Sen. John Cornyn (r-TX) said that Republican Senators would accept a "mini" deal on the debt ceiling. It should come as no surprise when establishment Republicans again stabs in the back, the Tea Party movement that gave them power by voting to raise the debt ceiling in return for insignificant cuts. These self serving imposters will not address the underlying spending problem because they don't really believe in limited government.

The important question is what do we do about it? It is obvious that our phone calls, faxes, letters, and emails mean nothing to politicians controlled by lobbying interests. They have ignored ads we have run in their home states. In their arrogance, they believe that real Americans are just too stupid to understand the complexity of the situation. Only through this arrogance can they rationalize the institutionalized corruption that THEY have created.

I agree with the going after whatever you believe in the next election part.

Do you believe defaulting on the debt is the best course of action?

My view is you should cut funding from the Corps of Engineers, the Highway Department, the military and the prison system all you can. Just be organized about it. Don't leave troops out in harms way suddenly not getting paid or getting new equipment and ammo just because it makes you sound tough on the budget.

Hey, I'm for anything that's sensible. I'm not for weak republicans who have a job to do for the sake of the nation who suddenly look the other way.

Here's an idea... Lets make the Debt Ceiling a trad-able commodity on wall street.

I'm a big Bull today and all in. If I could trust the Republicans I'd certainly be a Bear.
But, I don't. Not yet anyway.

The debt ceiling is going to be raised. There was always going to be a compromise.

The only question is how much do we get cut from the budget.

The Debt Limit will be raised. That really is a foregone conclusion. The best Conservatives can hope for now is getting some spending cut deals to go along with it. That's the best they could have ever hoped for. I understand the OP's frustration but sometimes you really do have to be a realist. The Debt Limit was always gonna be raised. Now lets just hope we get some real spending cut deals.

Really, What happens over the healthcare debate... The Dems dictated and fell back on a bill none of them liked after Scott Brown was elected. Then the lies about Federal dollars funding abortion to get the last 6 Blue dogs to go along. Private flights on Air Force One to push a socialist agenda. Screw the compromise issue it didn't happen when the Dems were in complete control.

    Democrats make me sick!

YOu really want a near complete breakdown of civil authority (followed up closely by a fascist government of some kind) ?

Let Congress renege on the US debts.

    That'll do it.

Then your end of the world survivalist plans will be put to the test , let me tell yas.

Democrats two years and no budget, a failed stimulus and administration.
A president with no experience, a Vice President who drinks to much and a Secretary of state that cannot be trusted and x President who remains in all the Democrats faces pushing his life long agenda. Let me say this again. Democrats make me sick.

All we need are some Business scholars in there making sound decisions and we'll be fine.
