Just got the estimate for repairing my drivers side mirror...

What kind of car are we talking about?

I tore my driver side mirror off my Toyota FJ Cruiser when the gate into my neighborhood closed little faster than I thought it would.
Bought a factory power mirror with driving light for $172 bucks and replaced it myself in thirty minutes.

You must have wacked something pretty hard to damage the door. The mirrors are designed to break before damaging the door itself.

Replacement Mirror Assembly w/Power - SILVER DRIVER SIDE [87940-35871] - $172.70 : Pure FJ Cruiser, Parts and Accessories for your Toyota FJ Cruiser

... after it was hit by an unknown motorist.
$2,767.34!! Wtf? lol

I couldn’t f’ing believe it. They said the entire door will have to be replaced because of the damage done where the mirror is mounted.

While it won’t cost me more than my $250 deductible, I wasn’t expecting that. I also wasn’t expecting it to take 3 days to repair.

Gotta love these unexpected surprises life sometimes throws our way. :)
:cuckoo:

Same thing happened to my van.

I upgraded to towing mirrors for less than $50. It took me about 15 minutes to install them.
