Just curious?

Well, relatively speaking, that is not much at all.
You are right. We should no be surprised if the link suddenly stops working For Ever with no notice.
Nah. USMB has been around a long time. And it has a lot of members. They make money. Selling it might be another story, though. They wouldn't get much. Unless, of course, they updated the info since it IS over a year and a half old.

Why would they pay them when they can get people to do it for free?
Well..they can do that. But why not pay them if it can be afforded? It doesn't cost 400+ bucks a month to run this board.
Volunteering is all fine and dandy, but....I paid for those who helped me run my board. But thats me.

Just sayin.

I think this place is being run by some organization that hosts several message boards. We should ask flacaltenn. He should know. He mentioned something about it before in another thread, but I can't really remember.

Yeah. Forum Foundries is contracted by the owners of many sites for IT/Maintenance. Go to the Home Page and at the bottom you'll see "popular links". Many of these are maintained by FF... When CK was here, FF had a more "vertical" business and did a lot functions. Was more involved in daily grind type of of Board operations.

NOW -- you just got us. Those folks crazy enough to volunteer to be slimed and defamed constantly by nearly everyone. :whip:
Do you guys at least get a xmas bonus????

Yeah -- they loosen the chains so we can reach the popcorn machine.

Aww. I'll send you a Christmas card. :D

Just type in, for example, Cambria California City-Data. Google will take you straight to the page where all the info is. Just be prepared to scroll, lol.

Meh, I'm too tired to care. I have to get to bed.
You said you never heard of it. So...I just said what it was about. Its very interesting. Check it out on your own town when you aren't tired. :)

My Gradma lived 93 years...then she died. I miss her.

Twitter is pretty populated. Now, keep in mind the domain is what is valued. Not necessarily CONTENT. But content also is what makes the domain name valued. So the busier the website is, the more it is worth $$$ wise.
22K is not too shabby considering competing boards within the same genre' of what USMB represents.

The more the registered member count..the more the hits...the more it is valued. USMB needs to focus on those aspects IF they ever wish to sell and make a tidy profit. An on hands admin would be the first step. CK did let his presence be known and he was good at running the joint. Staff is doing ok without him, but...any time there is a problem, they have to wait for one of the owners to come in and fix stuff. Can't captain a ship without a captain.

They're like first responders, running toward bad posting instead of away.

It's kinda like the classic ClockWork Orange situation. Where you're strapped to a seat with your eyes pegged opened and can't look away..

We're not paid, but I'm TOLD -- there's a farm for damaged moderators where all you can hear is birds chirping and all the animals play nicely together. I look forward to going there.

Hopefully they're too "damaged" and still like to play a little bit...

Pay raise? :lmao:

Only if you consider finding a couple of moldy M&M's hiding in the hallways a raise, then yeah, I guess we get one.

Hello AyeCantSeeYou,

How are you? I need help again please. I got my IPhone X in Nov. 3. After I downloaded all my apps my Tapatalk is entirely different.
I do not have the access to emails means I cannot send any email. I no longer have my subscriptions. I’ve been posting few here and there since last week just for testing but can’t find where to follow up because my subscription is empty.
This post is the only way I can relay my message to administration.

iPhone X is a little complex to use that even AT&T dealer don’t know (and other stuff) where to turn off my music. But that is a different story.
I’ve been traveling that is why it took me this long to inform you.

Also Tapatalk wants to access my photo library includes read and write. Is there a ways to take that off?
Thank you for your help.

Charwin, I just checked the tapatalk site and they are aware of problems with the new iphone. They are supposed to be fixing many of them with the next update they put out. No idea when that is though. You might want to try using Safari for now to access the forum until they get it updated.

Thank you for your support.
