Judge who ordered Kim Davis arrested is a George W. Bush appointee

A federal judge here on Thursday ordered a Kentucky clerk jailed for contempt of court because of her refusal to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.

Wait for iiiiiiiiit...

A tu quoque rube asking why Clinton hasn't been arrested yet in 5...4...3...

IF the woman had been a muslim instead of a Christian the court would have ordered the country to
ACCOMMODATE her.

Doesn't really matter who appointed him. His job is interperate the meaning of the law and apply the law in fair and correct manner.

There is no State Sanctioned, State Sponsored, State Funded, State Mandated Religion in the U.S.

Ms. Davis's privately held religious beliefs are exactly that, privately held. She cannot use her version of her god as means by which to deny the Civil Right of Marriage to Same Sex Couples under the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th. Amendment.

It does not matter how Ms. Davis as a citizen feels about Same Sex Marriage, she cannnot allow her privately held bliefs to be used a weapon against another person or person based upon their Sexual Indentity. The law is clear. Ms. Davis must obey the law pure and simple.

This is NOT a Freedom of Religion Issue, Marriage is a Civil Right. SCOTUS has ruled that Same Sex Couples, under the Equal Protection Clause cannot be denied a right granted to Hetro Sexual Couples.

But if you have a muslim employee who refuses to work with ham or bacon you are required to fix it so they don't have to do it.

So when the government apply's the 14th they only do it when it suits their agenda.

What difference does it make who appointed him? He is sworn to uphold the laws of the United States and that includes SCOTUS interpretation of the law. Judges have been notorious good at following the law, regardless of who appointed them.

No you are NOT.

Just as a Jew cannot be forced to pork or cook pork or serve pork.

Religioius Dietary requirments are not the issue.

This is not a Freedom of Religion Issue.

The U.S. does not have a State Sponsored Religion.

The U.S. does not have a State Supported Religion.

The U.S. does not have a State Sanctioned Religion.

SCOTUS has ruled. Ms. Davis must obey the law.

Her privately held personal religious beliefs are exactly that, private and personal.

She does not have the right use her own personal religious beliefs as a weapon to deny the Right of Marriage based on Sexual Identity.

You analogy regarding Islam is not valid.

Freedom of Religion is not the issue.

Equal Protection Under The Law Is The Issue.

Agreed. If she cannot in good conscience perform her duties, she should resign and find other employment, not expect the law to bend for her.

If you don't like the law, change the law. That's how it works.

McDonald's does not have to accommodate a Muslim employee's aversion to pork. DarkFury is talking out of his ass in a wild attempt to be the victim.

You do know the difference between an ordinary employee and an ELECTED official who works for the state (like Davis) don't you?....and if not, ask a grown up with more brain cells.

BOTH are employees Nat. You need to quit looking at the elected as gods and start looking at them for what they ARE.
EMPLOYEES.

Has any Muslim clerk been allowed to refuse to marry gays?
No. So, life Nostradamus, you just claim to know that it would happen.

It doesn't matter which President appointed a judge--the judge has to follow the WRITTEN law. In this case the Judge was right.

This Kentucky clerk has absolutely NO RIGHT--to determine law based on her religious beliefs, while putting the COUNTY at risk for class-action law suits--in which the County taxpayers would have to pay for

LIKE CARLY FIORINA stated: This Kentucky clerk can either quit or do her job.

I DON'T CARE.... it's fucking Kentucky. I don't live there... Jeesh... you libs fret over the weirdest shit.

If a heterosexual couple were devil worshippers I wouldn't cater their wedding either, but now government will make me do it.
