Montezanti is accused of being part of the parapolice organization AAA that operated between 1974-1975 in Bahía Blanca targeting students and workers’ unions. The organization which was led at a national level by Juan Domingo Perón’s Social Welfare Minister José López Rega distributed pamphlets and divulged lists of people who were going to be killed.

In April, Palazzani and Nebbia filed a writ requesting to investigate the slaying of 22 people by the AAA, arguing that they were crimes against humanity and that the persecution unleashed by the group could be considered a preliminary stage to the genocidal process carried out by the 1976-1983 military regime.

Montezanti was also mentioned by an activist of the Peronist Youth (JUP) abducted in 1977 who said that the current judge was seen at the headquarters of the Fifth Army Corps, which was responsible for the repression in Bahía Blanca.

During those years, Montezanti worked as the legal representative of the UOM metal workers’ union, a group with close ties to the Peronist right-wing. In his deposition before the Magistrates Council, Montezanti acknowledged having been a civilian spy during the last years of the dictatorship, but argued that the Executive was well aware of that fact when he was appointed to the Bahía Blanca Federal Appeals Court in 2003.

He just refused to show for the hearing. He claimed that he was sick last week ...........even though he wasn't. He was at work. It's a tad more difficult for judges to lie about that.
