No, actually Colbert is not.

Colbert just rehashes the most ridiculous of right-wing talking points, and invents his own. There's a lot of pleasure there, but far less cleverness or skill. If Colbert gets a guest of an opposing opinion, he just hams it up with the guest. Its so easy.

Jon Stewart actually engages, but Colbert just pantomimes.
