John Quincy Adams Wikipedia Page Edited To Describe Him As A ‘Founding Father’ | ThinkProgress

GOP presidential candidate Rep. Michele Bachmann is now getting the Sarah Palin treatment on Wikipedia. In light of Bachmann’s latest historical hiccup, people are trying to edit John Quincy Adam’s Wikipedia page to reflect her recent gaffe. One edit, for example, changes his description from “John Adams was the sixth President of the United States” to “John Adams, a founding father, was the sixth President of the United States.”
Incidentally, the Founding Fathers Wikipedia page still does not list John Quincy Adams as a member.

It's bad enough when Bachmann is ignorant of American history, but it's even worse when some of her supporters try to change history to defend her.

The fun thing about this is that every liberal arts and social science teacher in America's high schools and higher ed institutions are using these examples of why all sources have to be vetted. The palinistas and bachmannis are merely creating more Dems with these shennanigans.

OMG, shades of when Palin supporters flocked to edit Wikipedia about Paul Revere's ride.
I've said for so long that cons rewrite history, and those two instances prove it.

It is amazing that think progress found this.

Do you think they edited in an attempt to make Bachmann look bad?

You don't mind when leftoids do that for their people. John Quincy Adams was the son of a Founding Father.

How long before they adjust it to say President Roosevelt went on television in 1929 to reassure the American people?

Yet another reason why no legit educational institute will allow wiki to be used as source material.

And to think the right coined the history revisionist phrase.

They are the best projectionists in the world.

The fact of the matter is....if RepubliCON$ didn't lie, they'd have nothing to say.

Not only is Michelle Bachman a pathological liar of the highest order, but her minions and the rest of the RepubliCON Party are too.
