John Kerry is going to replace Hilalry as Secretary of State.

We are told this is good news for Pakistan as John Kerry has been less hostile towards Pakistan then others. Not that that really has much of an effect on US policy.

Among US politicians he is well regarded for his clean image,steller war record and later activism during the Anti vietnam war movement. Per record this is pretty much as good as it gets in US politics.

However what do you have to do to get a Silver star, bronze star and 3 Purple hearts.
