The waiting list is HUGE and years long.

I was OK with Bush first term...did not vote for him second term....and although I did not vote for Obama, I most certainly hoped he was a better leader and uniter.
I personally held Obama to a hire standard.....and if it were McCain...I would have held him to a hire standard....
For good or bad, bush had a populatiry rating of 30% when he left...I wanted a president that earned one closer to 55% or better......so yes, I exepcted more of the man.
And no...never called him a Marxist, a socialist or a Muslim. I did not want him to fail, but I knew his policies would.....

I voted for the last President both times. I was in a much different place, both in life and in politics. Politically, I was sleepwalking. This is not to say my vote would have been any different had I been informed, things being what they were.
I wouldn't count BO out just yet. The other day, I read that his second term will be markedly different than his first - and yes. I do believe he will have a second term, because the GOP has nobody, not even Perry. Possibly Romney but again; I'm not seeing it.

One year after 9/11 there was a gathering held in Central Park. Turned out to be great, Meryl Steep hosted, Billy Joel and the Philharmonic did the music. Before the show, President Bush appeared on a screen to make a speech. There were a couple of quick boos in the crowd..and many people, myself included, told the assholes to shut up.
I may not have "respected" the man..but he was our President..and that in itself is worthy of some respect.
We live in a civil society.
