Joe the Plumber: McCain 'appalled me' - Andy Barr - Politico.com

Joe Wurzelbacher lashed out Tuesday at former GOP presidential nominee John McCain, the man who made Wurzelbacher famous as “Joe the Plumber.”

Wurzelbacher told conservative radio host Glenn Beck that he felt “dirty” after “being on the campaign trail and seeing some of the things that take place.”

Recalling a conversation he had with McCain about the $700 billion financial industry bailout in September, Wurzelbacher said: “When I was on the bus with him, I asked him a lot of questions about the bailout because most Americans did not want that to happen.”

“I asked him some pretty direct questions,” he continued. “Some of the answers you guys are gonna receive — they appalled me, absolutely. I was angry. In fact, I wanted to get off the bus after I talked to him.”

Asked why he didn’t leave McCain’s campaign if he was “appalled” by the candidate, Wurzelbacher said, “honestly, because the thought of Barack Obama as president scares me even more.”

While Wurzelbacher was critical of McCain during the interview, he had nothing but praise for his running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. “Sarah Palin is absolutely the real deal,” he said.

Anybody think Joe is scrambling to try and salvage some credibility?

Sounds like BS to me.

when you think of some of those currently IN congress right now, we already have far worse than Joe
he at least knew what a disaster the bailouts would be

Joe the Plumber & Sarah Palin the Republican candidates in 2012?
Love to see, then we can pretty much count on Obama being reelected! And as for Joe, he knew what he was getting into to and maybe this is why he didn't bother to show up at that rally that day.

This guy walked up and asked Obama a fair and good question. Obama blew the answer. It should have ended there, as that was all it was worth. The fact that it didn't is laughable. & I'm still laughing.

The conservative showed their ass over it, the liberals showed there ass over it, the state of Ohio certainly showed it's as over it and the voters and public in general, well .............. lol

Something tells me this guy wouldn't know the real deal if it slapped him in the head.

I agree. Nevertheless Palin had it all over McCain, when it came to connecting with people and getting them to listen. Frankly that is the goal of being on the stump.

Well Big Daddy, you may want to rethink the moron opinion. Is the man really as stupid as you think he is? He is successfully keeping his name in the news and generating extra income from it and no doubt will get a book, a movie or something out of the deal.

I don't think his opinion is worth much either, but ............

you and I spout off about politics everyday, but, can we make those claims? How much money have you made by doing the same thing? I haven't made any!

Hmmm ...............

I'd say 64 million people disagree with you on Obama blowing the question. the fact of the matter is Joe asked a question based on a lie and Obama answered it with the truth. The right tried to blow it up into something it wasn't, Obama being a socialist. Clearly the American people didn't buy it.

Now Joe is trying to do some revisionist history here saying he didn't support McCain either, just preferred him to Obama... BULLSHIT.

and how much time exactly are we to believe he spent on that bus with palin for him to know she's the "real deal"?
