Depends on the content.
If a Palin book signing thread were just that, a Palin book signing thread then yeah, it should stay in politics.
But if the OP puts his/her personal opinion into it (Like you, Shaman and Flaylo always do) then yeah, it deserves to be moved.

i'd have to say usarmy retired is the most persecuted on this board. i have yet to see any evidence of racism, nothwithstanding a reference to david duke, which i thought was within the context of the thread.
no one challenges the moderators here more than i do, i think it's healthy. you have to take the good with the bad. threads get zapped (relegated) for both teams, to the appropriate area, it happens to all of us. out of chaos comes order, be nice to the zookeepers, without them we'd be the u.s. thunderdome
overall i think they do pretty great, and you can tell because gunny rarely interveins. "laizze faire" if you know what i mean.

If a Palin book signing thread were just that, a Palin book signing thread then yeah, it should stay in politics.
