JOBS LOST UNDER BUSH

Under Bush Ohio Lost 237,000 Jobs; Average Ohio Family's Income Fell by $1,500
Edwards blamed the disastrous state of the Ohio economy on President Bushs failed leadership and dangerous ideology. In the last month, Edwards noted that Ohio lost an additional 12,000 jobs bringing the total under the George Bush to 237,000 jobs, more than one in four in the whole country. The manufacturing base in Ohio has been especially hard-hit, with 173,000 jobs lost. The typical family has seen its income fall by more than $1,500.

They are going to be real hard pressed to defend the Bush record and beat on the Obama record in about a year.

You really don't want to start comparing the numbers because this is a losing proposition.

Bush lost 2 million jobs in his first couple of years because of a recession and 9/11. Obama has lost over 8million in just over a year. When the current White House loses under 500,000 in a month they start doing cartwheels. Losing 200,000 would cause them to lose their minds with ecstasy

Bush had a $500 billion dollar deficit and had a low of $160 billion. Obama's deficit is currently $1.8 trillion.

Um, aren't you forgetting something? Like deficit for FY2009, since it was Bush's budget?

More importantly that the economic crisis was allowed to bloom under the Bush admin.

They did nothing to avert it when it could have been done.

They instead called anyone who was saying there was a problem in the making a "whiner" or "doom and gloom" patisan.

Really doesn't matter...because Bush wasn't President. Most of Bush's budget was never implemented by congress anyway. Bush was bitching about all of the stuff Harry Reid forgot to fund. So his budget for FY2009 is a wash.

Actually because of Obama's anti-business policies and massive spending it will be very easy.

It was the pro corporation stance that caused this mess.

You guys just keep taking the corporate side of all issues and see how many regular guy votes you gets with shoving your hands down that "corporate persons" pants.

This is the success that Republicans want to return to. Remember, except for the shoe bomber, Bush kept us safe. He helped all Americans. Ask New Orleans. They'll tell you.

Actually, the cost of both wars were never included in Bush's budgets. That makes it a fraud, NOT a wash.

They instead called anyone who was saying there was a problem in the making a "whiner" or "doom and gloom" patisan.

You really need a civics lesson.

Who was controlling congress the last two years of the Bush Administration?

Democrats. Blame them...it's their baby.....and Obama was a part of it. Voting *present* every time doesn't exclude him from responsibility. However he did vote for TARP and he did sign the Stimulus Bill.

Bush just signs the checks. He doesn't make the laws and oversee commerce. Read the constitution for once.

When exactly did the economy tank?

Maybe you have forgotten some parts.

You're rational is totally screwed.

The Dems talked about it for 3 years....told us that the economy was messed up when it was churning along. Then when they got in charge they made sure it was screwed....all the while Barney Frank and Chris Dodd told everyone to ignore the impending banking crisis.

I think you're in a time-warp or something. Putting the blame for your fucked up party on everybody else.

Obama's the "Whiner In Chief" now by the way. He claims he inherited it. That would only apply if he had never stepped into the halls of congress the previous 3 or 4 years. The only way he could possibly claim he inherited it is if he never did his job as a US Senator. They have just as much a hand in the mess as Bush did...even more so.

The economy is cyclical, and a recession would have occurred regardless. However, because of tax cuts and the expenses of war Bush deepened the level that this recession was going to reach. The only thing that can occur under Obama's regime is more job losses, because that is the way a recession works. Economy= No immediate results, and less control than we all would hope.
