Research organisations, universities, and industry will receive a sum of €6.4 billion next year in the European Commission's largest ever allocation for research and innovation.

Research commissioner Máire Geoghegan-Quinn said on Monday (19 July) when presenting the plan that around 16,000 participants, including about 3,000 small and medium businesses, will receive funding.

"The investment I am announcing today will create 165,000 jobs over the relatively short term and potentially many, many more over the long term," the commissioner told reporters.

In particular, the commission wants researchers to focus on solutions for climate change, energy and food security, health challenges and an ageing population. Health research will receive over €600 million while information and communication technology research has been allocated €1.2 billion. Space research has been allocated €99 million."

The bozos pushed through a $787 billion stimulus, that morphed into $863B, for the purpose keeping unemployment below 8%, kick start the economy, and provide whatever hundreds of thousands or millions of jobs, depending on which administration kook was yammering, and everything would round into shape in 2010's summer of recovery. Now, Biden tells us every thing is going as planned, but we somehow still need a jobs bill? That wasn't part of the plan when they were telling us the stimulus was the answer to our economic problems.

People with functioning brains realize these friggin' idiots don't have a clue what they're doing. And they're gonna vote on it in a few short months.
