Jobless rate falls. And that's the bad news

Selective and bias to make Papa Obama look good
Twist any fact enough, you can get to say anything you want

but you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear
You really need some better wacky leftwing websites

Here is one from the BLS
showing Papa Obama has a new 30-year low in the labour participation rate.

Here’s the chart from the BLS for the last 30 years:

Surely you're not stupid enough not to understand that the work force is contracting, since the boomers are starting to retire. Account for that, and you might have a point. I'm not saying that we're out of the woods from the Bush recession, but we're certainly moving in the right direction.

The question remains. Are there more private sector jobs now, than the day that Obama took office? Your chart doesn't come close to answering that.
Surely your not claiming that this alleged contracting is the sole source of the dropping off of participation in the work force? When you have as many kids entering as there are retiring, the real cause is people maxing out UE benefits and simply not getting counted in the UE percentage that is reported to the public.

The real UE number is around 11 to 12%

Statement by AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka on April Jobs Report

Republican obstruction to the President’s jobs agenda has left working people in a holding pattern. Our economy continues to be severely off balance. We need our policymakers to commit to robust and sustained policy action to create jobs on the scale needed to put America back to work.

Republicans in Congress have blocked President Obama’s efforts to keep propelling growth, whether it’s the American Jobs Act or routine highway infrastructure investments.

Meanwhile, Republicans push catastrophic budgets that threaten our economic security and break our promises to the next generation. Our leaders must show the courage and the sense to reject more of the failed policies that allow people like Mitt Romney to game the system and leave working people behind.

Pursuing tried and failed economic policies is the definition of crazy – and exactly what Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, John Boehner and others would do.

Statement by AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka on April Jobs Report

Isn't that the damn truth???

Actually, no, it isn't.

IF you want the truth, go look in Harry Reid's desk drawer. You'll find a large number of House passed jobs related bills gathering dust in it.

Once you max out your unemployment you're no longer factored into the "unemployment" formula - you end up in a singularity...

please cite your source for that claim.

Alarming Increase In 99ers If Unemployment Extension Bill Fails | HULIQ

Hell, just type "99'ers and unemployment" into Google.

Don't forget about the other group that calls themselves "The 99%ers."

You know, those that maxed out their benefits after 2 years...

It's astounding how people can live on welfare indefinitely, yet those who held a job only get 2-years....

Do you really think that's a credible source?
Let's look at what BLS says: Employment Situation Technical Note
Unemployment benefits have never been part of the classification.

U.S. April hiring slows, jobless rate falls to 8.1 percent - Yahoo! Finance
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Employers cut back on hiring in April and the jobless rate fell as people gave up the hunt for work, a somber note on the economy that could hurt President Barack Obama's re-election chances.

Employers added just 115,000 workers to their payrolls last month, the Labor Department said on Friday.

It was the third straight month in which hiring slowed, keeping fears alive that the U.S. economy is losing momentum. It also dampens hopes that a stretch of strong winter hiring signaled a turning point for the recovery.

"It shows sluggish growth," said John Doyle, currency strategist at Tempus Consulting in Washington.

The unemployment rate ticked a tenth of a point lower to 8.1 percent, a three-year low, as people left the workforce. The jobless rate is derived from a separate survey of households, which showed a drop in the number of jobs in April.

Under Bush teh Dems complained about a "jobless recovery". Under Obama we've got a "workerless recovery" as people drop out of the workforce. Ironically this makes UE look better.
But the story behind the story is that people are discouraged. The weakest recovery on record. The highest spending. Do we really need 4 more years of this?

I predicted this before the 2008 election. it was to happen regardless of who was elected.
I ws made fun of and told it weould be a quick recovery, just an adjustment.
Gradually the "experts" have come around to agreeing with me.

Yeah, right.
It should have been short lived. By the time Obama took office the major crisis was over. But he and his team couldnt let a crisis go to waste and rammed through the porkulus and then health care, with enormous tax increases. This has accounted for the slow recovery and non-existent job growth.

Well that is what the Left likes to say
to make themselves feel better

But Reagan inherited a bad equal in many ways to Papa Obama
and he did more, faster, better and spend less money than
Papa Obama

So

Obama isn't working

Oh, please!!! Ronald Reagan was such a good actor. But he sucked as president!!!

Ten Reasons Ronald Reagan Was a Bad President

And you'd better believe it!!!

Ten Reasons Ronald Reagan Was a Bad President |

Sure
but the difference being
his programs worked

Obama isn't working

What programs of RR worked???

Reagan increased economic inequality and shifted most of America's wealth to the top. Reagan presided over the wholesale dismantling of our industrial infrastructure for short term profits for the very wealthy and to destroy the unions. Millions were thrown out of work. Remaining workers were told to work twice as hard. Productivity increased +45%, but wages remained frozen. We were encouraged to borrow money until household debt was nearly 100% of GDP. Personal bankruptcies went up +610%. Incarcerations went up +355%. Anti-Depressants went up +305%. Health care costs went up +78%. The ratio of CEO pay to worker pay went up +649%.

Reagan increased unemployment from 7% to 11% in his first three years. The unemployment rate did not get better until his fourth year.

Why do some say Ronald Reagan was a bad president? - Yahoo! Answers

He was a friggin' mess!!!

Anti sepressants went up 305% and that's supposed to be due to Reagan??

What a maroon!

Are you seriously ignorant of what RR did to the mentally ill of this country?? In the 70's, as governor, he closed mental health facilities in California. In the 80's, as president, he was able to close them all over the country. But you'll find an excuse to defend him, I'm sure.

That's a non argument, not responsive to what I wrote.
So again, how is Ronald Reagan supposed to be responsible for a 305% increase in anti depressants?

How many times are you guys going to repeat the lie that the "Unemployment Rate" is going down because of people running out of "Unemployment Insurance"?

The Unemployment rate is NOT calculated using UI numbers. They have NOTHING to do with each other.

Who's argued that? The rate is going down because people are dropping out of the workforce. They'll run out of benefits too, but that's another issue.

People are maxing out on unemployment in masses.

When they dont count the people who fell off the numbers due to their benefits ran out...

That's who.

This is true.
