Joan Rivers Calls Michelle Obama 'Blackie O' ?

The President of the United States was discussing the upcoming state dinner and the scheduled speeches, including questions of protocol, with his chief protocol officer, his Ambassador to China and with his Press Secretary.

"So, Mr. President, Hu speaks first."

The President said, "That's what I'm asking you."

"And that's what I'm telling you, Mr. President. Hu's on first."

"Are you asking me?"

"No sir, Mr. President, I'm telling you; Hu's on first."

"Well, that's what I want to know."

"That's why I'm telling you."

"Let me rephrase this, then. When does Hu speak?"

"Hu speaks first and then Wen speaks."

"Huh?"

"He's not speaking."

"Who's not speaking?"

"No, sir, Mr. President. Hu is speaking!"

"When?

"No. Hu!"

"Hu is speaking when?"

"No, sir. Hu is speaking first, then Wen."

"What?"

"No sir, He's not speaking, either."

"Who's not speaking?"

FIRST BASE!

So, Joan recognized that her comment MIGHT (oh, say, "possibly") be taken as racially insensitive or offensive. And on THAT basis she cut the line from her act -- until she got on Howard's radio show to tell it anyway?

Joan ain't really "all there" anymore, is she?

As for the line itself. Fucking let's face facts. If this country had not had such a long and sordid history of racism (about which we still suffer historical guilt), the line itself would be pretty funny. But given our justifiable reluctance to say shit that is racially insensitive (or even offensive), that kind of wit does strike us as being at least a little bit out of bounds. That might not be such a terrible outcome.

Oh well.

See, now that you're a Canadian, free of any systemic black racism, and imbued with general all-round perfectness and moral superiority, you can laugh at that joke.

Personally, I thought it was pretty funny.

"Blackie O That is funny.

"Joan Rivers is an eoe comedienne . . . no one is spared from being the butt of her jokes. She tosses PC out the window, which is why she's funny."

I agree...hilarious. I think Joan and Bill Mahar should be able to make any kind of jokes they want. I like freedom of speech exercises, regardless at whose expense. Love SNL political skits, too. I must say though, in Michelle Obama's defense that she did look absoultely stunning in that red gown at the recent State dinner, for Mao....er...HU. :)

She did look fab in that dress. It thought the dress was elegant and had a bit of Chinese flair to the pattern and she wears one-shoulder dresses very well. Her hair looked great too. She should wear it in a similar fashion more often, imo.

Dang, she's a tall drink of water!

It looks like she's trying to match the carpet.

BFD...she's trying to be funny. You've got to have pretty thick skin to be in politics. I'm sure Michelle isn't losing sleep over it.....

@ Toro ^^ It does match the carpet! I don't know if it was that color redder, like here and just photographed differently.

Yeah ok, it's matching the rug in this one too. lol

Had someone else said it I might have found it funny, but from day one I found the forwardness of Ms. Rivers to be far too much for my taste.

I watched Ed Sullivan with my father for many years and then Johnny Carson with her coming on often as well.

I doubt I have watched her for more than five minutes at a time. Ever.

I feel "jarred" when I watch her. Even when she is not trying to be funny.

To be fair, black comedians should be able to make fun of white people now.

Black comedians can make fun of black and white people.
White comedians can make fun of white people. If they make fun of black people they're called racist.

Don Rickles makes fun of everyone and is one of the funniest guys evah.

A male Joan Rivers. He does not have many friends in comedy. They called him the Insult master. She is the Insult queen.

Yes, she is 5'11" and BO is 6'1" and she usually wears flat shoes. The picture you put up shows that dress orange? On TV it looked red. Either way she was one hot babe that night. I think she has dismissed her former designers and I have read that they had gone out of business, before that, but cannot confirm. She is in a new commercial and her hair is more brown and fluffy than black and sleek. May be a wig? She looks good in it though. I also like her hair black and sleek and pulled back. She is starting to show elegance. We may as well approve of her outfits, since we are paying for them? I am glad to see her looking better, than in the early days of her First Lady ones.

We don't pay for her wardrobe, their parties, vacations, etc.. They pay for that. I would think designers would give her the clothes unless it's against some law.

Joan Rivers is a big bitch, btw. It's her. Sometimes she hits on something funny but not usually.

I like her jewelry. The pins are especially creative.

Sorry, the Obama's will NEVER be a JFK and Jackie O..

They just don't have the class.

Because we all know that if a White Gentile comedian made this same comment, Al Sharpton with the help of the Jew media would had demanded that he or she apologize for it! We see that happen all the time! Now, go play with yourself!

Jewess Joan Rivers Calls Michelle Obama 'Blackie O' ?

Comedienne Joan Rivers revealed she once ditched a joke about First Lady Michelle Obama from her stand-up routine - because she feared she'd be accused of racism.

Recalling the wisecrack to shock Jock Howard Stern, the comedy legend said: "We used to have Jackie O now we have Blackie O!"

"Bet she won't have to apologize nor will the Jew media criticize her for being RACIST!" :eusa_whistle:

And what does being Jewish or Jew media have anything to do with anything?

Your post sounds pretty racist to me.
