Jim Acosta's Boorishness Not Protected by First Amendment

If you wanted a constitutional crisis, folks, federal judge Timothy Kelly has given us one with the issuance of a temporary restraining order requiring the Trump White House to reinstate CNN’s petulant Jim Acosta’s press pass giving him access to the building in which President Trump resides and leads the Free World.
Revoking Jim Acosta’s press pass did not threaten the First Amendment rights of either CNN or Jim Acosta. CNN is free to broadcast what it wants and report on anything it wants and Acosta is free to do the same. The funny thing about freedom of speech and freedom of the press is that while both freedoms are constitutionally guaranteed, the Constitution does not guarantee a right to a particular forum. There is no more right for Jim Acosta to have White House credentials than there is to have White House press conferences at all [https://www.cnn.com/2018/11/16/media...ng/index.html]
In court on Wednesday, Justice Department lawyer James Burnham argued[] that the Trump White House has the legal right to kick out any reporter at any time for any reason -- a position that is a dramatic break from decades of tradition. https://www.cnn.com/2018/11/14/media...ing/index.html... While responding to a hypothetical from Kelly, Burnham said that it would be perfectly legal for the White House to revoke a journalist's press pass if it didn't agree with their reporting. "As a matter of law... yes," he said.... "if the President were to have the absolute discretion to strip a correspondent of a hard pass, the chilling effect would be severe and the First Amendment protections afforded journalists to gather and report news on the activities on the President would be largely eviscerated.".... No they wouldn’t, even if Acosta/CNN defenders are treating this kerfuffle as if it happened at the Saudi consulate in Turkey. Acosta is in no danger of being dismembered. White House press conferences and press briefings may elicit and occasional newsworthy quote but have morphed from information gathering sessions to forums where reporters grandstand to advance their careers as they debate rather than inquire and engage in character assassination masquerading as legitimate inquiry. The President has every right to restrict access to the White House where the press conferences are held just as he has the choice whether to have them at all: [https://www.dailywire.com/news/38363...t-joseph-curl]

Acosta is a low life . If the White House HAS to tolerate Acosta, couldn’t he be shipped to the Saudi embassy in Ankara? They owe us a few… It's pretty sickening that FNC news sided with CNN! Just because you call yourself a "journalist" does not mean you are one. the fact that they blindly side with CNN because "journalism" is ridiculous! especially when the object (Acosta) proves himself anything but a journalist.
The truth is, as I see it, there has not been a president more available and open to the press than Donald Trump.
Journalism is supposed to be objective, honest, morally professional and the principal arm of the news gathering, unfortunately today nothing of that exists. The media spewing fake news and flat out lies supported by insults, name calling and threats of violence against anyone who disagrees with them or the Democrats has all but destroyed the liberal media.

Here's one for you Dale. Check this one out.

Actually "boorishness" is protected by the 1st Amendment but assault (even simple assault) isn't. On the other hand there is nothing in the Constitution that says a President has to endure boorishness from an emotionally biased (possibly mentally disturbed) reporter. The executive branch has the right and the duty to remove boorish reporters from interfering with the 1st Amendment process. Why can't CNN understand that?

Sorry bout that,

  1. This judge didn't want the shit storm that's coming anyway, so he gave both sides a WIN!
  2. He will find some blame for it anyhow.
  3. He just made matters worse, sounds like Comey.
  4. He said Hillary broke the law but refused to indict.
  5. There is a diffinant biased towards protecting the liberals in courts of laws.
  6. I'm getting real sick of it!
  7. The shit storm is about to rage!
Regards,
SirJamesofTexas

They keep opening up a can of worms that will haunt themselves in due time.
Someone should show them through reflective teaching and go on CNN with one of those wind up cymbal claping monkey toys and interupt their discussion with the windup toy and see how far freedom of speach goes when it's no longer speach, but just purposeful harassing
annoyances used to bait anger.
Then when they go to tell you to knock it off add another on the table, then when they go to grab the toy push karate chop their arm away.
Then refuse to let the other guests talk, and take up their talk points time, and watch the fun as they cut your mic & throw you out.
Then -
ONE DAY IS THE DISTANT FUTURE if the Dems ever are around and win a Presidential election Fox news should send a giant Energizer Bunny to disrupt the Dem President press conference and see if the Bunny gets to stay or if people confuse the Bunny for Costas.

If a Fox News correspondent had acted the exact same way in an Obama presser, snowflake libs would have lost their collective fucking minds.

You know it’s true,

The first presidential press conference happened by accident. Over one hundred years later, they are still awkward, impersonal, and no fun for the president.
The first presidential press conference was a mistake. President Woodrow Wilson’s private secretary, Joseph Tumulty, advised newspapermen in Washington that at 12:45 p.m. on March 15, 1913, the governor—he still called Wilson by his former title—would “look them in the face and chat with them for a few minutes.” The new president expected to greet each man one-by-one to begin a personal relationship of the kind he had with reporters as governor of New Jersey. Up to that point, presidents had either ignored the press or fed them news in small, private, off-the-record meetings. Teddy Roosevelt spoke to reporters while his barber gave him his morning shave. But at the appointed hour, 125 newsmen appeared in Wilson’s office. He didn’t know what to do. They stood in their sack coats and vests in a semi-circle, four deep waiting for the new man to start pushing around some words.
