JFK wouldn't be a Democrap today

JFK wouldn't let entitlements eat up the Federal budget like the scum Democraps of today.

JFK was strong on national defense and for cutting taxes to stimulate economic growth, foreign ideas to liberals ruining the Democraps today.

This fiscal cliff debate is over raising taxes on working people and slashing the DoD budget in the middle of a war against worldwide terrorism that killed more Americans on US soil than previous all modern era wars combined.

So no liberal on this board should ever try to use JFK in your arguments here, he wouldn't be with you today.

By that same standard, Eisenhower, Nixon and even Reagan wouldn't be welcome in the batshit crazy insane asylum that is the TeaBagging party.

More BS liberal story line. Just because the left has moved so far left they can't see the center that does not mean the right moved right. Everything that today's Republican conservative they stood for. I can say that because I am and was a Reagan conservative. You on the other hand are a liberal who supports a DNC that is nothing like what it was during Kennedy. Kennedy would not have the guts to say "ask not what your country can do for you....." he never would win the nomination.

JFK was a liberal through and through.

He's want nothing to do with the clusterfuck that is the republican party today.

Hell, even a lot of republican's don't want anything to do with the clusterfuck of today.

I notice 0 liberal scum here have countered the video of JFK telling they are full of shit today.

Typical....

During his acceptance of the New York Liberal Party’s nomination,

President John F. Kennedy made his famous liberal quote —
What do our opponents mean when they apply to us the label “Liberal?”

If by “Liberal” they mean, as they want people to believe, someone who is soft in his policies abroad, who is against local government, and who is unconcerned with the taxpayer’s dollar, then the record of this party and its members demonstrate that we are not that kind of “Liberal.”

But if by a “Liberal” they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people — their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties — someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a “Liberal,” then I’m proud to say I’m a “Liberal.”

JFK was a moderate, asswipe.

A liberal hates the military and loves high taxes for more control over people.

Of course, you are too stupid to understand this after being shown graphs and a video of JFK right in your face.

JFK would be ashamed of Democraps today just like he would've ashamed of his fat little brother that killed a woman drinking and driving and lived off his name for decades in the Senate.

JFK was a liberal through and through.

He's want nothing to do with the clusterfuck that is the republican party today.

Hell, even a lot of republican's don't want anything to do with the clusterfuck of today.

Yep. Top marginal rate was 70%, as I recall.

Oh SNAP!

In 63 the top rate was 91% but the top tier was $200k

Funny thing.....Capital Gains was lower. The top rate today is 35%. In 63 it was 25%.

The rich had it better off then.

Capital gains tax in the United States - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In 2003, this rate was reduced to 15%, and to 5% for individuals in the lowest two income tax brackets. The reduced 15% tax rate on qualified dividends and long term capital gains, previously scheduled to expire in 2008, was extended through 2010 as a result of the Tax Increase Prevention and Reconciliation Act of 2005 signed into law by President George W. Bush. This was extended through 2012 in legislation passed by Congress and signed by President Barack Obama on Dec 17, 2010. As a result:
In 2008–2012, the tax rate on qualified dividends and long term capital gains is 0% for those in the 10% and 15% income tax brackets.
After 2012, dividends will be taxed at the taxpayer's ordinary income tax rate, regardless of his or her tax bracket.
After 2012, the long-term capital gains tax rate will be 20% (10% for taxpayers in the 15% tax bracket).
After 2012, the qualified five-year 18% capital gains rate (8% for taxpayers in the 15% tax bracket) will be reinstated

The Republicans have claimed Truman, JFK, and Jefferson as good conservative presidents. I wonder if they truly believe their claims or are just trying to muddy history a bit? The best president, FDR is too well known to be claimed by Republicans, so for FDR they have to put out their version of history of how FDR screwed up the country. The best Republican president was Lincoln, but conservatives seem to steer clear of Abe for some reason, probably much too liberal and the south doesn't seem to like Abe much. So Republicans end up with JFK, Truman, Jefferson, or Reagan as best conservative president? Wonder if they'll someday claim Obama?

Dumbfuck....America was poorer back in the 60s, so entitlement programs were needed. Entitlement programs have now grown into their own disaster.

JFK would not keep raising taxes to feed the entitlement monster scum like you live off today.

Oh, cutting and pasting wikipedia is violating copyright laws, but you break all kinds of laws I'm sure.

Let's just detail one portion of the 'New Frontier' link I posted:

Welfare

Unemployment and welfare benefits were expanded.[26]

In 1961, Social Security benefits were increased by 20% and provision for early retirement was introduced, enabling workers to retire at the age of sixty-two while receiving partial benefits.[27]

The Social Security Amendments of 1961 permitted male workers to elect early retirement age 62, increased minimum benefits, liberalized the benefit payments to aged widow, widower, or surviving dependent parent, and also liberalized eligibility requirements and the retirement test.[28]

The 1962 amendments to the Social Security Act authorized the federal government to reimburse states for the provision of social services.[29]

The School Lunch Act was amended for authority to begin providing free meals in poverty-stricken areas.[5]

A pilot food stamp program was launched (1961), covering six areas in the United States. In 1962, the program was extended to eighteen areas, feeding 240,000 people.[30]

The Self-Employed Individuals Tax Retirement Act of 1962 provided self-employed people with a tax postponement for income set aside in qualified pension plans.[28]

Various school lunch and school milk programs were extended, “enabling 700,000 more children to enjoy a hot school lunch and eighty-five thousand more schools, child care centers, and camps to receive fresh milk”.[30]

ADC was extended to whole families (1961).[31]

Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC) replaced the Aid to Dependent Children (ADC) program, as coverage was extended to adults caring for dependent children.[30]

A major revision of the public welfare laws was carried out, with a $300 million modernisation which emphasised rehabilitation instead of relief”.[6]

A temporary antirecession supplement to unemployment compensation was introduced.[6]

Food distribution to needy Americans was increased.[6] In January 1961, the first executive order issued by Kennedy mandated that the Department of Agriculture increase the quantity and variety of foods donated for needy households. This executive order represented a shift in the Commodity Distribution Programs’ primary purpose, from surplus disposal to that of providing nutritious foods to low-income households.[32]

Social Security benefits were extended to an additional five million Americans.[26]
The Self-Employed Individuals Tax Retirement Act (1962) provided self-employed people with a tax postponement for income set aside in qualified pension plans.[28]

The Public Welfare Amendments of 1962 provided for greater Federal sharing in the cost of rehabilitative services to applicants, recipients, and persons likely to become applicants for public assistance. It increased the Federal share in the cost of public assistance payments, and permitted the States to combine the various categories into one category. The amendments also made permanent the 1961 amendment which extended aid to dependent children to cover children removed from unsuitable homes.[28]

Federal funds were made available for the payment of foster care costs for AFDC-eligible children who had come into state custody.[33]

An act was approved (1963) which extended for one year the period during which responsibility for the placement and foster care of dependent children, under the program of aid to families with dependent children under Title IV of the Social Security Act.[28]

Federal civil service retirement benefits were index-linked to changes in the Consumer Price Index (1962).[34]

That JFK would be a Republican today?? THAT JFK?

The OP is gravely challenged.

You've been demolished. Try to take it like a man, or whatever passes for a man in your world.

A liberal today doesn't look to the future, it keeps looking back at failed socialist policies in Europe and Asia and wants to emulate them.

A liberal today is about taking away the rights of workers to work without belonging to a union.

A liberal today is about taking money from some people to give it to lazy ass scum like you.

A liberal today intervenes in overseas military operations to support Europe's oil adventures (Libya) while calling military operations in the US interests as evil (Iraq and Afghanistan).

A liberal today covers up crimes of getting an Ambassador and others killed by terrorists then invents lies about some video causing the mess and everyone is racist if they don't agree.

JFK would spit in your face for ruining his party and his country.

They've already tried to claim MLK.

(not a politician, but you get the point...)
