It seems so. He challenged the power of the state, created the individual, and taught each individual how to think and behave. He did not propose a welfare/nanny state. Rather he nurtured the individual for freedom. This eventually led to Thomas Jefferson and America. We must never forget that we were Romans before we were Christians. For us an afternoon's entertainment was watching people being eaten alive at the Coliseum, at least until Christ taught us this was not right.

They didn't have states back then, he had more of a problem with the elite Jews of the Sanhedrin and Pharisees.

they had the Roman State that eventually put him to death in a symbolic clash between freedom and govt. 1+1=2

I am laughing....

Really? Jesus took people in, fed them and cured theml

and you are free to do that too- right????? Did Jesus say create a welfare state to cripple the poor and create more of them all the time? Now you understand why Christians give more to charity than liberals.

Jesus could have been the first democrat too but he wouldn't recognize the party of segregation, bigotry and socialism today.

Jesus would not have been a democrat because a Democrat is for powerful central government Jesus stood for a powerful individual with a powerful relationship to God not to a central government. If Jesus was a Marxist he would've said he was a Marxist and advocated Marxist principles and Marxist government but he did exactly the opposite he created the individual and that ultimately led to the American Constitution which secured The individual against the state, a state in which Jesus had no faith whatsoever.

The early Christian sects were famous for the quality and breadth of their social services networks for their fellow Christians; that was why Constantine handed over the Roman govt. social services to them to manage, a secular commission for them.

Jesus wasn't opposed to big or small govt. either way; he was opposed to govt. interference in matters of theology and religion, which wasn't their strength. Read the 'Render unto Ceasar's' quote again, and stop making stupid dishonest commentaries trying to force Christians into some retarded ideology or other.

When you read the quote you see that when Jesus split the world between Cesar and God he created The Republican revolution that led to the founding of America. Do you understand?

Most establishment Republicans and its 'libertarian' right wingers are not Christians, so you have no point as usual; they are just as much behind the agenda to destroy Christianity and any Commie deviant is, and have been since their Party was founded. It's laughable anybody would even try to sell that nonsense you posted.

We are not talking about establishment Republicans and it's libertarian right wingers we are talking about how Jesus split the world between Cesar in God and thus created the revolution that lead directly to Republican America You have to know what the subject is and then stay on it if you want to make progress

The liberal I Q limits many liberals to cartoons. Have you ever seen a conservative or a libertarian think that flashing cartoons at each other was is a meaningful form of debate??
