I walked down to my favorite bar yesterday at about 5 pm.
I had no idea the Belmont Stakes was being run at 6:30.
I was pressured and coerced into a $10 bet, where everyone
got a pick by reaching into a jar for a chit with a horses name on it.
I drew Jasil (pronounced JAZZil, not jazIL). My baby horsie won
me $100 US Dolla.
I have to admit I was so wasted by the time the race was run that
I still had no idea.
Fortunately, the good people who I party with made sure their money
ended up in my wallet, bless their hearts.
I bought them two rounds and kept the rest. Part of the rest
went into an upgrade from beer to Martinis.
How I got back home safe Ill never know.
