Gov. Janet Napolitano (D-Ariz.) is President-elect Barack Obama's choice to serve as secretary of homeland security. Should she be nominated and confirmed, she faces challenges well beyond border security, airport security and collective bargaining rights for TSA employees. A new report by the General Accountability Office issued yesterday demonstrates that the department still lacks the proper planning and staff to handle its roughly $12 billion worth of government contracts. Napolitano Faces Contracting Challenges at DHS - Federal Eye - Well now, as someone from Arizona all I can say is I apologize in advance for this choice of Homeland Security Head. Let me shed a little light on this choice, first she was the attorney for Anita Hill during the confirmation hearings for Justice Thomas. She has presided over a budget deficit here in Arizona that is currently the second highest in the nation. She has presided over a state educational system that according to several surveys that is dead last in K-12 Education. Most importantly , she is the Gov. of our state in which illegal alien incurrsions into the US since her election have increased over 210% according to the DEA. So again from Arizona we send out apologies in advance for this choice.
