    Guess what the FBI said..

    Violent Crime Falls Sharply.

Guess what state and city was mentioned in this study:

Arizona's major cities all registered declines. A perceived rise in crime is one reason often cited by proponents of a new law intended to crack down on illegal immigration.

In Phoenix, police spokesman Trent Crump said, "Despite all the hype, in every single reportable crime category, we're significantly down." Mr. Crump said Phoenix's most recent data for 2010 indicated still lower crime. For the first quarter of 2010, violent crime was down 17% overall in the city, while homicides were down 38% and robberies 27%, compared with the same period in 2009.

From her April 23 statement upon signing 1070:

There is no higher priority than protecting the citizens of Arizona. We cannot sacrifice our safety to
the murderous greed of drug cartels. We cannot stand idly by as drop houses, kidnappings and
violence compromise our quality of life.

We cannot delay while the destruction happening south of our international border creeps its way
    north.

We in Arizona have been more than patient waiting for Washington to act. But decades of federal inaction and misguided policy have created a dangerous and unacceptable
    situation.

The FBI report does indeed say crime is down, but it doesn't say it's gone.

    From the WSJ report:

In Phoenix, police spokesman Trent Crump said, "Despite all the hype, in every single reportable crime category, we're significantly down." Mr. Crump said Phoenix's most recent data for 2010 indicated still lower crime. For the first quarter of 2010, violent crime was down 17% overall in the city, while homicides were down 38% and robberies 27%, compared with the same period in 2009.

Another way to say that is that in the first quarter of 2009, violent crime was 17% higher, homicides were 38% higher, and robberies were 27% higher, and it would have been those numbers that were available when 1070 was written.

Then this, also from the WSJ:

But it often takes time for falling crime rates to affect popular perceptions of how safe the streets are. Researchers note that it took years for the dramatic crime reductions in the latter part of the 1990s to register with lawmakers and voters.

I know you just plain fucking hate her, but I don't see how any of this can prove she lied about a thing. Maybe stick to calling her a racist bitch?

I didn't see anything from Brewer saying that the crime rate was going up.
