I've been there a few times, but now! Everybody spread the word, go visit S. Dakota

well the South Dakota economy does rely heavily on tourism in the summer and a sucessful boycott might hurt but I don't think anyone is gonna take this real seriously. The Indian casinos won't even notice it.
That's what I'm saying; it's not the kind of tourism that flaps in the wind... people who go to South Dakota will go to South Dakota regardless, just like people will not go regardless.

sorry--brain fart--much ado about nothing anyway. The federal response to what's happening there will be the intersting part. Maybe all the actors will threaten to leave the country again.

I think it'd be a place I'd like to go once, and then never really need to go back. I'm sure if you're from there, you think it's awesome. I have UP michigan roots and I think it's awesome up there, even though most people would rip their eyes out. It's just amusing to me that people are starting anti and pro tourism campaigns against south dakota. That's like starting anti and pro surfing campaigns in Alaska. :p:
Off topic...
UP MI does NOT make you want to rip your eyes out, although they may POP out at all the gorgeous scenery.

YAY South Dakota!

The Wisconsin-based Women's Medical Fund boycott is ultimately pointless for one reason.

Who on Earth goes to South Dakota anyway.

Maybe three people per decade. The reason tourism is the second largest industry is because there is nothing going on there.

Why go there? Nothing goes on there? Ummmm.... what planet have you been on for the last fifty years?

The Constution guarantees the right to privacy here:

Amendment IV

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Right to privacy means the right to make one's own medical decisions.

I don't like abortion, but it is not my place nor anyone else's to make that decision for a pregnant woman.

That is your interpretation right?

The constitution is an overused phrase to justify once opinion.

Since politicans are so self righteous they like to quote it if they
can use it to support their own damn oppinion or to explain the
lack of backbone to resist the calls of the mob.

The right to make one's own medical decisions does NOT however include MURDER.
