It's time to stop the Segregation of Gender in the Military...

Solution?

They're called curtains.

The justification for segregation based on gender alone is simple and naturally equal too.

Military personnel should be judged based solely on their individual ability to do their job and conform to basic standards of behavior while on military time...Sexuality should be irrelevant for all. What soldiers do on their civilian time is personal and should not have any effect on their military service...If any individual soldier, gay or anti-gay, lacks the discipline to not be so effected by sexuality that it is detrimental to their ability to perform their job, then they do not meet the required standards of military behavior.

When your in the Military you don't have "civilian" time, you are on call 24/7 and are subject to the UCMJ 24/7 as well.

I'm talking about when they are off-base on their day off or weekend off, or sometimes weeks at a time...Out of uniform and out in public...Or who they may send private love letters to...With the repeal of DADT there is no need to hide in order not to breach UCMJ because it is no longer relevant.

It does not matter whether or not if your on base off base, doing your duty or on leave, a military member is still govonor by the UCMJ

That's an excellent point... More likely being the keywords.

If Segregation of Gender and Sexual Orientation was Equal, either it Existed for all or for none, that would be the Most Equitable, would it not?

:)

peace...

So what's your point? Either desegregate the entire military or segregate the homosexuals like they do males and females so things are "equal?"

Yes.

:)

peace...

Well in that case I think you are confused what this issue is all about or you are being ridiculous to make some sort of point you think you may have. Unfortunately for you, nobody was crying discrimination because men and women don't bunk or shower together. Where they sleep and shower wasn't what the issue was or where the discrimination was rooted. The discrimination was not allowing gays to serve openly. Showering and bunking are just secondary logistical issues and I don't care how they handle bunking and showering because the same basic rules will apply.

Besides, if the ultimate goal of the military is to keep the sexes apart was to keep them from fuckin' as you say then pretty much the worst thing they can do is integrate men and women. And if you segregate them all ... ie keep the gays separate then you are going to have a bigger problem with them fuckin' than you would if we it were all guys and all gals.

Exactly...it's pretty much a no brainer and mal's "question" was pretty retarded.

The real question is, why does mal care so much about an organization he will never belong to? Could it somehow factor into his closeted fantasies of men frolicking in the shower?
