FDR stacked the SCOTUS with his partisans to insure it would be ruled constitutional and everything that has happened since has been a direct result of FDR's destruction of the constitutional system of checks and balances.

Socialist Security is a failed program. Anyone dependent on Socialist security for their retirement is apt to end up working art Walmart to make ends meet.

No, you hope the President failed because President Bush was such an epic failure.

Well, President Obama just succeeded in passing the major policy change he was pushing. When he entered office, this nation was spiralling into a major depression. Now the Dow is back up to 10,500, and the employment figures are slowly turning around.

As the economy improves, and Americans realize just what even this watered down bill will mean to them and their children, you may have a time even gaining in the off year election this year.

Not bad if you have your home and such paid for and do not live in a high tax area.

Now that Obama has signed the health care bill....every area will be a high tax area.

It will soon become so expensive to live that over $5000/mo will be poverty level.

Romney care was almost like this bill and people hate it in mass. Also, thirty-seven states have nullification bills in their legislatures.

Some of us are really determine to undo the last hundred years of the communist agenda but I realize that it is going to be a slow process but one where we will prevail since freedom is the fundemental order of our society.

You know what? Even though I've never directed a post toward you personally, I really have respected a lot of things you've said around here. That said, on this post you must've been smoking what Spock was smoking.

Medicare will not die because the Baby Boomers are only beginning to retire right now. They're the single biggest voting bloc in the whole country. When Medicare reaches the brink of meltdown the Baby Boomers will DEMAND a big Medicare tax increase and their sheer weight of voting numbers will make it come to pass.

Don't ever delude yourself into thinking that retiree entitlements are going to die anytime soon. Such a notion flies in the face of the pure voter demographics. We're now entering the era where tax increases will be driven first and foremost by self-interested seniors who dominate the electorate.

Don't doubt it for a moment.
