I really feel that the 20th century will go down as the progressive century and be remembered as a dark age where the new ideas of fascism, communism, and socialism ruled the world. I see things changing in a dramatic way where the old labels of right or left or liberal or conservative will no longer apply. This nation is about to reset in a big way that most of the people in power can't see coming.

Its time to leave the 20th century and its ideas behind us.

I thought Bush was pretty heroic after 911 and did some good work in nailing those terrorist. I did not support him in the end because of the deficit and bailout.

The 20th century was like every other, save for different flags, names, and weapons with which men could kill eachother.

No, we will have Obama, Chavez and Usama Bin Laden to thank for the collapse of progressivism/liberalism. They will finally achieve what they want... and then lose it all in 4 short years I think, as all their victories turn to mud before their eyes because they are all based on lies and trying to deny the laws of economics. Chavez showed the way. Obama broke the bank and UBL will push us over the brink with insane religious jihad if we dont' destroy them first.

They are hoping for the communist revolution where the whole world will become one global commune. Instead, people will see clear as day that their kumbaya world is nothing more than the dark ages with death, poverty and starvation as it's rewards for all but those who helped build it and keep power and wealth only to themselves. Their future is dark, cold, diseased and hungry for all but themselves.

If we're lucky, we'll only have a second American revolution in this nation, and not a repeat of the FRENCH Revolution. But the way things are going. I wouldn't be surprised to see the spectre of Dr. Guillotine and Robespierre rise from the grave again.

Let them eat non-transfat, organic veggies and fruit.

I have to agree - 9/11 was Bush's "shining moment." I supported him as long as I could, but then I had to let it go. I think Bush was perhaps loyal to a fault to some of his appointees, etc. For instance, I never liked Rumsfeld from the get-go but Bush stood by him until he really had no choice but to let him go.

There was something stinking when Paulson and Berneke came running to Bush at the end of his last term screaming that America was in deep financial doo. Paulson had been with Goldman Sachs, Berneke with the Federal Reserve and Geitner was head of the NY Federal Reserve. There's NO WAY they were totally in the dark about America's financial situation. Yes, Bush signed off on the stimulus - BUT he also said he would leave it to the incomming president to decide on whether to use the stimulus. And use it, he has.

Bush was scary, he ran this country under serious brain fog. He continues to suffer from it.

A year ago we were rescued and began the painful process of climbing out of the hole Bush/Cheney dug and dropped America into. A few more years in power and Wingnuts would have begun to bury us. Thank goodness voters came to their senses in 2006 and 2008. I have no doubt voters will continue to do the right thing.

What do you see coming, please explain.

I see the 20th century as both a time of great tragedy and great hope. Liberal democracy won the major wars of totalitarianism and medical science advanced cures for a myriad of diseases that made life hell for most people. I grew up when polio was rampant and that cure was marvelous. Many nations advanced the Christian ideal of 'do unto others' and while the wars of domination caused horror, out of them came a sense of the futility of war. Plus for those of us who pulled the shades and crawled under our desks at school, nuclear holocaust was avoided. And personally for me and family it was a wonderful time, still is.
