It's time for the right to stop betraying America

Centuries ago, when the American people rose up against the mismanagement of their colonies, it was because the English aristocracy had embarked on a half-baked, greed-motivated, and ruinously expensive war in the 1750s. And then tried to take the cost out of the hides of the colonists.

Now the American aristocracy, backed by the oil and financial cartels it owns, has embarked on another half-baked, greed-motivated, and ruinously expensive war: this time in Iraq. But this time it's different. They won't just take the cost of this war out of your hides; your kids and grandkids will be paying for it, too. The rightwads in America are too busy defending the criminals who've done this. They should be spending their time fighting for the ideals on which America was founded. Many of them, of course, are just money-grubbing sellouts. It’s time for the rest of us to stand up and say that enough is enough.

An example of this horrible behavior has reared its ugly head recently. Bill O'Reilly, one of the better-known and most mentally unbalanced of the rightwad sellouts, latched on to one positive point issued in an eight-page memo from retired General Barry McCaffrey earlier this year about the Iraq debacle. Bill then took this point (that the Sunnis were growing stronger in their opposition to Al Qaeda in one province) to mean that "things are getting better," so we should just "let the end game play out." He even has the gall to call his puff piece "The Truth About Iraq" while admitting within the same article that he doesn’t even know the truth. And yet, somehow, we're supposed to believe him. The obvious truth, which Bill of course never tells, is that McCaffrey says that the coalition forces will be exhausted in three years, but that the insurgency can go on much longer.

Rightwads must wake up. The Iraqi situation is not America's war and never has been. Those who want to perpetuate this war are using it only to perpetuate their own power. They are not righteous, courageous leaders. They are simply a bunch of horrible, hypocritical people. Stop betraying America. Start hating the real enemies: the old boy network, the oil men, and the special interests. If you’re going to point fingers, don’t point them at amorphous "liberals" like you’re pawns of the new American rich. Point those fingers straight back at them.

It's time for the rightwads of this country to send a clear message that they will no longer support these traitors, but that they will fight for the ideals that America is supposed to stand for. It's also time that we shut these rightwads up. We must not allow them to dictate American policy or culture. It’s time for the public to forget about Iraq and start their regime change at home.

It's also time for the media to stop being lap dogs for their advertisers, and to start reporting on the crimes that our enemies within have committed against us. It's time for the rightwads to stop betraying America.

As in Vietnam, the insane lunatic fringe of our society known as the liberal media have once again attacked our men and women in uniform, slandering them in the only way they know how- outright fabrication. The outwardly liberal and seldom accurate New York Times comments:

Doubts Raised on Magazine’s ‘Baghdad Diarist’
By LOUISE STORY

Just who is the “Baghdad Diarist”?

It is a question that many people are asking The New Republic, the Washington political magazine that has been running articles attributed to an American soldier in Baghdad.

The author, who used the pen name Scott Thomas, has written three articles for the magazine since February, describing gruesome incidents in Iraq. Last week, The Weekly Standard questioned the veracity of the New Republic articles and invited readers with knowledge about the military or Baghdad to comment.

Since then, several readers and a spokesman for the base where the soldier is supposedly based have written in, raising more questions.

“Absolutely every piece of information that’s come out since we put that call up has cast further doubt on that story,” said Michael Goldfarb, the online editor of The Weekly Standard. “There’s not a single person that has come forward and said, ‘It sounds plausible.’ ”

Franklin Foer, the editor of The New Republic, will not reveal the author’s identity but says the magazine is investigating the accuracy of his articles. In the late 1990s, under different editors, the magazine fired an associate editor, Stephen Glass, for fabrications.

“Now that these questions have been raised, we’ve launched an inquiry. We’re putting the full resources of the magazine to look into the story,” Mr. Foer said. “It’s taking me a little bit longer than I wish it did. The author, not to mention some of the participants in the anecdotes he described, are active duty soldiers and they’re on 20-hour active combat missions sometimes, and it’s very difficult for me to get them all on the phone to ask them the questions that I’d like to ask.”

The diaries have described some shocking incidents of military life, including soldiers openly mocking a disfigured woman on their base and a private wearing a found piece of a child’s skull under his helmet.

The magazine granted anonymity to the writer to keep him from being punished by his military superiors and to allow him to write candidly, Mr. Foer said. He said that he had met the writer and that he knows that he is, in fact, a soldier.

So to the kook left you are a traitor if you want to WIN the war?

No. you are a traitor when you put the interests of party and president above the clear interests of the nation.

Your approach to fighting the war on islamic extremism has cost us five years, nearly a trillion dolars, over 30K dead and wounded Americans, the goodwill of the world, and after flushing all of that down the shitter in Iraq, our real enemies are just as strong as they were the day they attacked us.

Yet you continue to claim that that approach is really "working" because you desperately want to retain the whitehouse so that you can load the supreme court with judges who will overturn Roe and AA and all the other hallmarks of the success of progressive liberalism.

And you are willing to let Americans die in Iraq, and flush our tax dollars down the toilet in Iraq, shortchange improving border security, shortchange improving port of entry security and let our real enemies maintain their ability to harm us all for that partisan agenda.

THAT, RSR, is what makes YOU a traitor.

p.s. it's about time for a patented RSR one-liner Rush "the OXYmoron" Limbaugh talking point response. Guaranteed that he will run away from the substance of this post and never address the points made. Guaranteed.

Traitor. Coward. Illiterate Moron.
