The movie beat the far younger-skewing 3-D animated film "Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'hoole," director Zack Snyder's interpretation of a children's fantasy series, which grossed $16.3 million despite higher ticket prices, according to studio estimates.

This is a good omen. When Americans stop swallowing football, soap opera and violent video as their junk food diet they take a preliminary (baby) step toward becoming a people qualified for or worthy of democracy.

Tho I expect Stone is probably bottle feeding his audience all the same.
