So why then would Russia hack Hillary's e-mails? The fact is there is no proof whatsoever that it was the Russians who did. And Julian Assange, the one person who probably does know who did it, is quite persistent and definite that it was not the Russians who did.

Of course back in July I think it was, Assange also expected his release of the e-mails he had from Hillary's server would result in her indictment. What he hadn't counted on though was how deep the deep state went, and that the 7th floor of the FBI and the Obama Justice Dept. would go to any lengths to protect her. Which they did.

A Navy seaman was recently tried, convicted, sentenced to a year in prison plus six months of house arrest because he had six classified photos of a submarine on his phone. The classification was 'confidential', the lowest classification. And Comey said 'no reasonable prosecutor would bring charges against Hillary?

In any other world, Hillary would have been charged and tried if she didn't plea bargain out.

I am not discounting that many members of the GOP in Congress and high level bureaucracy are members of the deep state, the professional permanent political class that exists to increase its own power, prestige, influence, and personal wealth. The only difference between the two parties in that respect are the kinds of bones they throw at their different constituencies to keep them quiet, complacent, and accommodating.

I don't think most of the congressional GOP gave a flying fig whether the President is Republican or Democrat so long as they can retain their majority and therefore the lucrative committee chairmanships. It is actually easier for them when a Democratic President is in the White House (and vice versa) because then they can blame him for not getting anything done. Consider that President Obama was caught on open mic telling Prime Minister Medvedev that he would have more flexibility after the (2012) election. Medvedev clearly said he understood and would relay that information to Putin.

Consider that President Obama did absolutely nothing to prevent the Iranians from completing a nuclear weapon but on the pretense that he did, funneled billions in cash to Iran and unilaterally lifted all sanctions on them.

Consider that President Obama criticized and blustered about the North Korean nuclear ambitions but did absolutely nothing to interfere with it other than continue sanctions that were already there.

Consider that President Obama refused to assist the Ukraine when Russia started taking back territory controlled by the USSR.

Consider that Hillary was on the record to continue Obama policies pretty much across the board. Trump was on the record as opposing them.

If you were Putin, would you think a Hillary Clinton would be more of a problem for you? Or a Donald Trump?

It is actually easier for them when a Democratic President is in the White House (and vice versa) because then they can blame him for not getting anything done. I hope that there are. It is just that when the deep state includes most of the media and the "I hate anything Trump" crowd troll and deflect every message board or social media effort to explain things, it is so very difficult to educate people.

My husband, for instance, smart, competent, considered an esteemed professional and expert in his profession, has not been closely following the whole Steele dossier thing and the subplots surround it. So even when a conservative media outlet tries to condense it into a news article or into a few minutes on television, I can see his eyes glaze over with all the various facts, sidebars, and unfamiliar names being throw around.

It is even more difficult when most of the MSM put their own anti-Trump spin on it and refuse to even report or gloss over most of the more important facts.

It is easier for me, being an active message boarder, and also a news junkie, who has been following it from the beginning and the various terms, names, facts have become familiar over time.

But we need to keep up the effort to inform and educate here, because I honestly believe this is the last generation that will have sufficient numbers to prevent total domination by the leftist deep state agenda and powers.
