The GOP majority in congress are getting scared. This is only natural, and is why more and more of them are attempting to discredit special counsel Robert Mueller. Most are eager to see him fired.

As the Mueller team’s investigation widens from Emails to money trails and beyond, more and more evidence will be uncovered. Inevitably, the number of suspects involved in Trump’s collusion with the Russians to interfere in the 2016 presidential election will increase greatly.

Those Republicans currently screaming the loudest will most likely be discovered to have participated in the criminal acts, either during or after the fact.

In the weeks to come, Mueller will face growing pressure to end his investigation, or will be fired to prevent charges of treason from including major Republican players outside Trump’s known criminal organization.

Understanding this to be true, the GOP cannot afford to permit Mueller and his team to expose the true level of the Republicans’ party-wide corruption to the American public.

It's a little difficult to wrap your head around this, but it really is possible that Trump is so controlled by his "base" and talk radio that he'd actually pull the chain on Mueller.

No doubt that rational, pragmatic, clear-thinking congressional Republicans (RINOs) are nervous right now, because such a blatant act would hurt the party, but that doesn't matter.

why would they do that? As long as the "von Papen" Republicans get their tax cuts for rich people, Trump can do whatever, they won't stop him.

The only way to stop him is to deal the GOP a serious reverse in 2018.

Every time one of these threads pop up, you KNOW it has been / is another bad day for the Witch Hunt...

If they were innocent, why wouldn't they want Mueller to finish his investigation? It could only help them, right?

But if they know they're guilty, they would probably want to do ANYTHING they could to prevent those charges from coming.
