we don't have enough jobs AS IT IS with all the illegal immigrants in our country but lets just open the door and let anyone and everyone come in and suck up the resources that was meant for the American Citizen

The Right would change the message on the Statue of Liberty to "Keep Out".

the message isn't a free reign to every loser in the world to come in and make themselves at home. that's why we have IMMIGRATION LAWS. But if it did mean that, then all the people like you should have about 10 people housed in your homes along with your family, you don't care who they are or who pays for them.

The sentiment expressed on the Statue of Liberty is an admirable one.

Trouble is, it is outdated, and no longer anywhere near as applicable as it once was.

Back in the 1870s and 1880s, when those sentiments were expressed as part of the Statue...

The United States had hundreds of millions fewer citizens, plenty of land still unclaimed and ready to give-away or sell at dirt-cheap prices, a job for everyone who wanted one, and was a nation healing from the ravages of Civil War and highly optimistic as science and the first fruits of the Industrial Age began to substantively improve the lives of its citizenry.

Today, some 130-140 years later, we're a nation of 330 millions, trillions of dollars in debt, with much of our productive capacity shipped overseas, and a vast welfare class which is an unspeakable drain on the remaining productive elements of society.

Generally speaking, we're full-up...

And we really don't need any more newcomers for a while...

exactly, these people can't be VETTED and if they believe Obama the man who won LIE of the year, then it's up to US citizens to speak out. they didn't bring paper work with them that say, I'm good to go and I'm not a terrorist, I promise. it's dumb and it's WE THE PEOPLE who gets to pay for all these people they are labeling refuges because they know that word sounds better than what we had before when they were climbing over our boarders under Obama THE FIRST TIME we took in gawd knows how many people then.
