There are 2 types of people that vote Republicans, millionaires and suckers...

in 2009 there were 8 million millionaires
in 2008, mccain received 58 million votes

even if all 8 million millionaires voted for mccain, that leaves 50 million suckers out there.

First off, I had a chance to go to college right outta high school, but I didn't because I couldn't stand the foster family I was living with (there's reasons, and finally the foster family program came around to listening to me), so I ran away and went back to live with my Grandparents.

I was told by them that I'd have to earn my own way to college, so, since I had no cash to start with, I joined the Navy, intent on getting an education and getting out after 1 or 2 hitches.

I discovered about my second sea tour that I really enjoyed being able to go to all those different countries, and decided to make the military a career.

Never saw middle class wages of 50,000/year in my life, the military doesn't pay that well.

I also voted with Republicans most of the 20 years that I was in, but now have seen the fucked up things they've done.

No, the libs don't hate the cons because they're rich, they don't like them because the rich (in their pursuit of their bottom line) shipped all our jobs over to India and China.

There's also the issue that some people get filthy rich for DOING NOTHING!!!!! A prime example of that would be the dude last year who made 4 BILLION DOLLARS simply for betting against Wall St?

There are somewhat similar-instances, within Germany's apprenticeship-programs.

An individual will enter an apprenticeship-program...expecting to become a tradesman. Often (enough), the pros/engineers working-with this individual recognize the person was a born-engineer....except, no one else (in this person's life) was competent-enough to recognize that! Eventually, many of these apprentices go on to pursue engineering-degrees.

Ya' gotta start somewhere....and, you never know where it'll lead you! True-Americans aren't afraid to take risks....or, make changes. That's why risk-takers lead fuller/more-satisfying lives. Creative-people are like that!!

Yeah....you could go the "conservative"-track; go to the college Mommy & Daddy insist-upon...pursue the career they choose...never take any "risks"....and, end-up with alcohol/"medication"-issues, 40-50 years later ('cause you never really did what you wanted to do)....and, realizing you'll never get all that "time", back. Your options? Blame minorities for all o' your misery/problems.​
