Barrett won his Democratic recall primary with 54% of the vote, so he gets another crack at Walker in a month.

Milwaukee mayor to face Walker in Wisconsin recall after winning Democratic primary | Fox News
Barrett has had a rocky relationship with unions over the years and some Wisconsin union leaders urged him not to get into the recall race. He has promised to work toward restoring collective bargaining rights Walker took away, but he didn't go as far as Falk, who pledged to veto any state budget that didn't undo Walker's changes.
I wonder how much union support he'll really get, with a luke warm position like that on collective bargaining.

Also, Walker won his primary with 97% of the vote.

Yes, Walker had a lot of competition for the Republican Primary. He was lucky to make it out with his shirt the opposition was so strong.

Too bad, Barrett lost fair and square to Walker and the proper place would have been to wait it out till the next scheduled election - it should have been Falk and the ones who worked for the recall to run against Walker.

If Walker wins, what do the Dems and unions do now? Claim victory for bringing attention to Walkers 'crimes against unions' and try again?

I have to agree. Seems to me, if you lost last time, you shouldnt be eligible to run in a recall election. ( still hoping for a Walker loss though )

Second verse... same as the first.

Ive been seeing evidence that the Wisconsins aren't so focused on union issue as much as they are jobs. And Walkers got a pretty good record in that regard. Should be interesting to see.

"And Walker's got a pretty good record [on jobs]"?
Are you blowin' smoke, bullshitting or lying your ass off? -pewsh!-

"While the union measure is the reason Democrats are trying to recall Walker, the issue has not been the focus of their attacks so far in the campaign. Polls show Wisconsin voters, like those across the nation, are more focused on jobs.

Democrats have hammered Walker since a U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics report showed Wisconsin lost 23,900 jobs, the most for any state, from March 2011 to March 2012." ~ Brendan O'Brien (Reuters)

And yet our unemployment rate is at 6.8%. IF we actually lost jobs, the number we lost is far below what we lost under anal wart Doyle.

Barrett is going for 0-3. Three strikes and you're out.

BTW: The majority of the jobs lost were in the Milwaukee area. Wonder who's in charge in that area?

Wa\lker has done an excellent job rolling back union thugs and making the state decent. No tax increases and cuts in gov't, despite promises of blood in the streets and unfed children.
Looks like the left wing is getting their azzes handed to them.

how walker won his own primary isn't really relevant because that was a foregoine conclusion. as of right now, the polls show walker and barrett running neck and neck.

yep, Walker has done what he campaigned on.

The left has strayed from the union theme and is now just bitching about ideology.

This is due to the union's candidate getting hammered by the Milwaukee mayor who has a poor relationship with them, all this as previously mentioned.

no he hasn't. he never campaigned on divesting workers of their collective bargaining rights.

truth is important.

should politicians only be allowed to act on things they actively campaigned on? ALL politicians?
