I could list the many attacks brought about by radical Islam, but this article is a good example.

How terrorism has touched my life
As politicians wring their hands over how we can stay safe after the Manchester attacks left at least 22 dead and 59 injured, suggesting metal detectors and searches and background checks, it’s obvious there’s no way we can ever be totally protected.
Of course, action can and should be taken, from improving security to working on integration and deradicalisation. British police have foiled at least 13 potential attacks in the past four years and Australia 15 in the past two years, but there are still thought to be 3000 jihadis in the UK alone. It will happen again.
There have always been attacks. My parents recall IRA bombings on London from before I was born, but it was nothing like this — this constant, global threat.
These days, everyone, everywhere can be a target.
All we can do is hope we’re the lucky ones, the ones who missed their train.
