Under Apple's security protocol, data stored in the cloud is encrypted, as are data transfers to and from user devices. Like other systems, cryptographic keys are required to access iCloud data.
That’s exactly what I told you in my first post about this issue. Everything in the Apple ecosystem has end-to-end encryption (256-bit AES). Nobody is getting into it. It was purposefully designed so that Apple cannot even comply with a warrant on the servers.

Why trust Apple? I suspect they care more about profits than your rights or privacy.
A. Because of their track record

B. Because Tim Cook is not in on some secret society conspiracy

C. It is exactly their concern for profits that has caused them to drive security like they have. They know it is the top concern for customers.

Agreed.

Under Apple's security protocol, data stored in the cloud is encrypted, as are data transfers to and from user devices. Like other systems, cryptographic keys are required to access iCloud data. Currently, all iCloud keys — even those for Chinese accounts — are located on U.S. servers, meaning governmental requests for access fall under the purview of U.S. law.

Those protections will disappear as soon as Apple migrates the keys into China. Once on Chinese soil, government agencies will be able to request information through the Chinese legal system, which lacks the transparency, checks or oversight of its American counterpart.

First of all, that's not entirely true. Second of all, even if it were true - who cares? You're not a citizen of the Chinese government. And China will never cooperate with U.S. warrants. The only people who should be concerned about this are citizens of China.

And back to my first comment - the keys do not sit on open servers. They sit on encrypted servers. That's exactly why the NSA can't hack your iPhone. So it doesn't matter what country of origin the keys sit on. Everything is encrypted end-to-end.

Alt Right butt soilers hate all free speech but their own.

Yet it's the liberals that want to shut down free speech...go figure...dumbass.
i haven't blocked anybody on any forum; can right wingers, say the same thing.

Yeah, individuals are not blocking you to deter your free speech, they're blocking you so they don't have to listen to your stupid speech.
only people with lousy arguments, say that.

maybe in right wing fantasy; in the ordinary world, fallacy is all you seem to have.
Yeah, you use that line every time I prove you wrong (which is several dozen times per day). It's sort like your verbal version of a white flag. It's how I know you've surrendered on that particular discussion.

Just as I predicted. The left absolutely hates the U.S. Constitution and liberty. They are all about control.
In a column criticizing Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s decision not to ban Alex Jones from the social media site, a writer for The Verge attacked the principle of free speech as “dangerously naive.”
The left has spent decades trying to eliminate the right to keep and bear arms and the right to religion. Now they are working on eliminating the right to free speech.

Free speech is ‘dangerously naive idea’ that leads to ‘amplification of lies,’ columnist claims

I also resort to the fewest fallacies.
Well I resort to no fallacies at all. Which is why people take me seriously and they don't take you seriously.

Come the fuck off it Buttsoiler, you based this whole thread on a fallacy and I called you out on it. And now you're hiding from that callout.
Why do you use invective Pogo? It is so classless.

Simple. Mirroring that of the OP.

They are coming hard and fast for the 1st Amendment.
Bill de Blasio, the far-left mayor of New York City, told CNN’s Brian Stelter that if NewsCorp entities like Fox News and the New York Post didn’t exist, there would be less racial hatred and division — and Donald Trump wouldn’t be president ... and, yes, he was perfectly serious.
The left is absolutely terrified at the idea of free thought and open exchange of ideas.

NYC Mayor de Blasio: If Fox News didn’t exist, we’d have less racial hatred — and no President Trump

If you listen to the left, they would have you believe that the founders never intended for you to have anything beyond a musket. They would also have you believe that the 2nd Amendment is "outdated" and has "no place in a civilized society" due to the deaths that occur with firearms.

Well...the speech has resulted in more death in a week than all firearms throughout history have caused. Look what Adolf Hitler did with speech. And look what has been happening around the world with "fake news" and left-wing propaganda.
At least 24 people have been killed by mob lynchings in India this year, caused by rumors that spread on WhatsApp.
Now remember, these deaths were only made possible do to the advanced technology of smartphones, apps for smartphones, and the internet. All things that the founders never imagined a zillion years. In an era of quill pen, parchment paper, and letters delivered by horseback, they had absolutely no concept of a global communication system spreading disinformation in real-time. Disinformation that has resulted in very real panic.

And so...by left-wing "logic"...we should absolutely eliminate the right to free speech. Immediately. After all, people are dying due to this "outdated" concept.

Disinformation campaigns have weaponized WhatsApp into very real fake news
I unsure.

I think "free speech" intended for purpose of criticizing government abuses, but has been 'perverted' in name of propaganda, as well as spreading pornography and degenerate "art" which I think states could still ban under obscenity laws if they were enforced.

Might be better to have committee of officials curate speech and give quality control, so that degenerate speech and misinformation campaigns not allowed in media.
