It is my contention that even a hard-core atheist should know what's in the Bible

Same thing

Fairy tales can teach moral lessons too
Right but in this case it was ancient man’s recording of history so to speak.
Why did the Bible end 2000 years ago?

Hasn’t God done things remarkable since then?

Apostasy. That's why it ended.

And He has Restored His Church. And He is just getting started.

Won’t people believe new stuff?

God hasnt stopped speaking. You won't believe the old revelation. You rejected new revelation. Just because youve rejected it doesn't mean it isnt there
The gods speaking to people is a bit problematic. The authors of the bibles are men, whose identities are largely unknown. None of the authors of the bibles ever claim to have had direct communications with the gods. The tales of Jesus were written long after his death by people who apparently never met him.

The bible has no greater "holy credentials" than say, Homer's Illiad.

God has to have done something of note in the last 2000 years

Seems it should be recorded

It has been.
Was it because you all weren't happy with just the bible, so you wrote yourselves another book (of Mormons)?

I havent written anything. When I do it wont be scripture

Not problematic at all if you listen to Him.

I know what is in the Bible

Fairy Tales
A lot of people confuse the allegorical accounts in Genesis as fairy tales.

Does that explain the current Pope?

You know what I'm talking about. Sheesh, or have you gotten dumber with time?

Listen to who? There is no mechanism to connect the bible with any of the gods.

An honest question: knowing that the writers of the bible are largely unknown, that none of the authors of the bibles ever claim to have had direct communications with the gods and that none of those writers ever met jesus and that the events surrounding Jesus were written long after his death, why would anyone have any reason to believe that any of the gods have any connection to the bible?
