The war on terror, the war on drugs, the war on illegal immigration, asset forfeiture schemes, road safety schemes, school safety schemes, eminent domain: all of these programs started out as legitimate responses to pressing concerns and have since become weapons of compliance and control in the police stateā€™s hands.

Mark my words: gun control legislation, especially in the form of red flag gun laws, which allow the police to remove guns from people suspected of being threats, will only add to the governmentā€™s power.

These laws, growing in popularity as a legislative means by which to seize guns from individuals viewed as a danger to themselves or others, are yet another Trojan Horse, a stealth maneuver by the police state to gain greater power over an unsuspecting and largely gullible populace.

Seventeen states now have red flag laws on their books.

Anti-Gun Laws, Sanctuary Cities and the Second Amendment

As with the many posts like this that makes some happy or some angry- I'm compelled to remind readers:
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak outā€”because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak outā€” because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak outā€”because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for meā€”and there was no one left to speak for me.

What goes around comes around, it's not if, but when.

If I can I will resist the traitors. I don't care anymore.

"There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kinds of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced nor objectively interpretedā€”and you create a nation of lawbreakersā€”and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Rearden, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with."
