Near me is a group of facilities that refurbish and service military equipment.
They have been basically the only ones hiring for some time now.
The workers have started getting letters telling them of mandatory unpaid time off.

Excuse my poor writing. They have been hiring, but apparently no more.
I just found out about this yesterday. I expect no more hiring except to replace critical persons that leave.

and likely be paid under $12/hr.
Not a bad job for around here though. We are a red state. Blue states tend to pay better.
