Israel refuses to distribute extra blankets to Palestinian prisoners

I do not support anyone's violence.

But I am not afraid to point out there are most definitely consequences to our actions.

WHEN parents choose to steal land and live on it as illegal squatters with their children and live in extremist communities as war criminals, (like settlements in Gaza that are moved to the West Bank ), there are consequences to embracing such illegal conduct and such an illicit life style..

WE reap what we sow.

My Bible tells me this and I believe it.

I see the truth of it lived out in the life of the teacher of terrorists named Ruthie Fogel.

She taught young girls to be terrorists in an extremist school in the West Bank.

WHY should her fate surprise anyone?

TOO bad she caused death to her children by tthe life of crime she embraced.

Women like her should not be allowed to have children in their care.

Yet more lies and hate for the whole of the forum to see. I think you are about to hit a melt-down.

Truth shall always be brought into the Light, and there are consequences for our choices.

THE life of Ruthie Fogel is an illustration of the principle that there are consequences for our choices in our lives.

AND not one single word I wrote about Ruthie Fogel in my last post was untrue.

In your eyes, but we know your views are not the full monty.

SherriMunnerlyn has supported the Fogel murders and did say they they deserved to die.

Put the words SherriMunnerlyn and Fogel into Google search bar and her/his views about the Fogels are all over the internet.

I googled Sweet_Caroline and Rachel Corrie your views are there too:eusa_whistle:

Fantastic. I stick by my views. There are easier ways to commit suicide than to stumble in front of a bulldozer.

Just as foolish to take your children into an occupied territory and leave them unprotected?

Just as foolish to take your children into an occupied territory and leave them unprotected?

What are you saying?

Listen, every time they bring up Rachel Corrie, you will notice that they never mention that armed terrorist who was hiding in the office of the ISM, the group to which Rachel Corrie belonged. This armed terrorist consequently went to Mike's Place in Tel Aviv and blew himself up. Naturally those blabbering about Rachel Corrie, forget about the people who were killed and wounded by this terrorist. There used to be a poster whose teenage cousin happened to be there at the time the terrorist blew himself up. Her young cousin had to have a leg amputated, undergo several operations, and eventually died.

All of us do not believe the lies Sally/aka Hossfly tells here.

Rachel Corrie was an American girl murdered by Israel.

Rachel Corrie was an idiot who thought she could stop a moving bulldozer. A bit like King Canute trying to stop the tide coming in.

When you have coffee with Jesus tomorrow, have him tell you the Hossfly is a man, and I am a woman so we are two separate people. I really don't know what your Iranian gang is comprised of. It could be just Mrs. Sherri being treated as Norman Bates' mother and the rest are men, but there might be some women in the group. No one wanted to see Rachel Corrie die, but no one in their right mind plays chickie with a bulldozer. Why not go down to a construction site, Mrs. Sherri, and you can play chickie with a bulldozer. You might get a little exercise that way. Poor Mrs. Sherri doesn't want to hear the truth about the armed terrorist hiding out in the ISM office in Gaza and then blowing himself up in Mike's Place. One of those badly wounded happened to be an American documentary maker. Maybe Mrs., Sherri has no problem with terrorists who become suicide bombers as long as they take out some innocent people when they blow themselves up.

No one was "hiding in the office"
On 25 April, five days before the attack, Hanif and Sharif had visited International Solidarity Movement (ISM) office, and after chatting for 15 minutes with an ISM volunteer, the men joined a group of 20 people to lay flowers at the site of Rachel Corrie's death for 10 minutes.[11][12][13]

ISM said activists Hanif and Sharif appeared to be "typical Brits."[14] An ISM volunteer reported that the bombers had been among a group of 'alternative tourists' who were offered tea when they paid an unscheduled visit to an ISM office on the way to a memorial for Rachel Corrie.[15]

Why thank you, Joey. It shows you how your suicidal friends don't mind going into a crowded place to blow themselves up where people are just enjoying the day. However, since people can put into Wikipedia anything they want, there are other sites which have one of these terrorists hiding out in the ISM office in Gaza. Naturally those in the ISM would never admit that they were shielding a terrorist.

Here, in the midst of a disaster, we see another illustration of Israel deliberately imposing hurt and hardship on Palestinian political prisoners.

Israel refuses to distribute extra blankets to Palestinian prisoners

BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) --" Israeli prison administration refused a request from the Palestinian Authority to allow extra blankets and clothes for Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails during the recent storm, the PA prisoners' affairs minister said on Sunday.

Issa Qaraqe told Ma'an that despite coordination between the PA, the Red Cross, and the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the Israeli administration of Ofer prison refused to allow hundreds of blankets prepared by the PA to be distributed to inmates."

Qaraqe said the "the Israeli prison administration did not provide prisoners with the basic requirements to protect them from the extreme cold and it is responsible for their lives during these conditions."

It has been documented for years that Israeli jails do not provide for the basic needs of Palestinian political prisoners, and according to Qaraqe the prisoners presently lack the sufficient number of blankets, clothes, or heating sources.

Qaraqe said that rainwater managed to enter a number of cells of the Palestinian prisoners and detention centers where dozens of Palestinian prisoners reside, and some detainees suffering from illnesses related to extreme cold are in need of medical care..

Palestinian Center for Prisoners' Studies said that female prisoners also suffered throughout the storm as their rooms had many leaks, and that they were not given any extra blankets or hot water despite extremely cold conditions.

Today, Ma'an reports 5,200 Palestinians held in Israeli jails as of Oct. 2013, this is according to the PA Ministry of Prisoners' Affairs.

Another 1,280 are being detained in Israeli prisons for being inside Israel without permits, according to the Maan article. (This is the first I have read of this other category of Palestinian prisoners)

Since 1967, I read that more than 650,000 Palestinians have been detained by Israel, and that this represents 20% of the total population and 40% of all males in the occupied territories.

How are Israeli Prisoners or even Palestinian Prisoners, treated by Palestinians? Not being a smart ass, just asking a question. Look, it's a War. Stop whining. You want War? Well, then you have to accept all its ugliness. Maybe it's time for Peace? Just a thought anyway.

It is not a war. Israel occupies East Jerusalem and the West Bank and Gaza and have occupied these lands since 1967. We have a holding by The International Court of Justice in 2004 confirming this is an Occupation under The Fourth Geneva Convention. Palestinians have sovereignty rights in the lands. Israel occupies lands in Palestine and has moved over 500,000 of her residents onto occupied lands in violation of intl law. They have built illegal settlements on lands stolen from Palestinians. Over 6 million Palestinians in the Occupied Territories and Israel are discriminated against and treated with unequal rights. International legal authorities call the Israeli Regime an Apartheid Regime with respect to their treatment of the indigenous Palestinian people in Palestine.

OVER 5000 Palestinians are held as political prisoners, convicted mostly by military courts, denied basic legal rights under intl law at every step of the legal proceeding. Most are held unlawfully in prisons in Israel, these detentions are unlawful because under the fourth Geneva Convention an occupied population cannot be imprisoned outside of the occupied territories.

Palestinians hold no Israelis as prisoners.

Palestinians hold no Israelis as prisoners.

It's a War. But again i'll ask, how are Israeli Prisoners and even Palestinian Prisoners treated by Palestinians?

It is not a war.

It is an Occupation.

This is the text of The International Court of Justice Opinion on The Wall in 2004.

"120. As regards these settlements, the Court notes that Article 49, paragraph 6, of the Fourth Geneva Convention provides: "The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies." That provision prohibits not only deportations or forced transfers of population such as those carried out during the Second World War, but also any measures taken by an occupying Power in order to organize or encourage transfers of parts of its own population into the occupied territory.

In this respect, the information provided to the Court shows that, since 1977, Israel has conducted a policy and developed practices involving the establishment of settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, contrary to the terms of Article 49, paragraph 6, just cited.

The Security Council has thus taken the view that such policy and practices "have no legal validity". It has also called upon "Israel, as the occupying Power, to abide scrupulously" by the Fourth Geneva Convention and:"to rescind its previous measures and to desist from taking any action which would result in changing the legal status and geographical nature and materially affecting the demographic composition of the Arab territories occupied since 1967, including Jerusalem and, in particular, not to transfer parts of its own civilian population into the occupied Arab territories" (resolution 446 (1979) of 22 March 1979).

The Council reaffirmed its position in resolutions 452 (1979) of 20 July 1979 and 465 (1980) of 1 March 1980. Indeed, in the latter case it described "Israel's policy and practices of settling parts of its population and new immigrants in [the occupied] territories" as a "flagrant violation" of the Fourth Geneva Convention.

The Court concludes that the Israeli settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (including East Jerusalem) have been established in breach of international law.

Articles 99 & 120 - The Court rulesIsraeli settlements are in violation of international law.

99. THE UN Security Council declared in resolutions 237 (1967), 271 (1969), 446 (1979), 681 (1990), and 799 (1992) the applicability of the Geneva Conventions (1949) to the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories. These resolutions also include the Security Council conclusions that the Israeli settlements in those occupied territories are illegal as per article 49, para. 6 of those same Geneva Conventions (1949).

REFERS TO: Geneva Conventions IV (1949); SC res 237 (1967), 271 (1969), 446 (1979), 681 (1990), 799 (1992), 904 (1994).

120. In agreement with Security Council resolution 452 (1979) and 465 (1980), "the Court concludes that the Israeli settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (including East Jerusalem) have been established in breach of international law".

REFERS TO: Geneva Conventions IV (1949) (art. 49 (para.6)); SC res 446 (1979) & 452 (1979) & 465 (1980).
