Israel is the second most educated country in the world, says a report released by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

The organization's 2011 edition of "Education at a Glance: OECD Indicators," highlights Israel for its high percentage of the population in possession of post-secondary degrees. With 45% of Israelis completing university degrees, Israel ranks ahead of countries such as Japan (44%), the US (41%), the UK (37%), only lagging behind Canada (50%).

I remember Max Wezelman. He was one of my father's best friends and business associates. This is in the 19 ought 50's mind you.

So there's Max- sitting across the table from me, a robust 4 year old. Short, cranky, wrinkled old Max.

He reminded me of Edward G. Robinson. Gravelly voice and all. Such the Jew.

Fast forward 30 years. Max is dead. RIP Max. His dughter Judith Newmann ( yeah she married in the Faith) is now my contemporary through succession. (My father also subsequently passed away).

I loved Judith. We would talk on the phone for the longest time. Anyhow- her dad, Max, left his daughter Judith with something of value. And I wanted it.

So Judith and I went back and forth for 10 years. Then one day, Judith calls me and says "you know- we're getting old and I think we should sell". So I bought. And I paid a premium, because this gal was true blue. And it paid off handsomely.

I haven't talked to her in years. Hell she may be dead for all I know.

Yeah, Judith the Jew. Daughter of a Jew. She Jewed me out of some big money at the time, but I came out one top.
