Israel, High Tech Superpower

sraeli businessman and Hollywood producer Arnon Milchan is being pursued by a film director, who wants to turn his biography into a motion picture, according to a report by the New York Times.

“Confidential: The Life of Secret Agent Turned Hollywood Tycoon Arnon Milchan”, released last year by Gefen Books, contains numerous disclosures about Milchan's involvement in Israel's nuclear program. According to the biography, Milchan was a longtime weapons dealer and Israeli intelligence agent who purchased equipment for Israel's alleged nuclear program.

"Prime ministers and defense ministers and finance ministers came and went, but there was only 'treasurer' of Israel's secret espionage budget - Arnon Milchan. He collected commission fees from American security firms that were deposited in the bank accounts of various companies he set up in several countries where Israeli spy agencies operate," said Doron and Gelman.

Israelis buy upwards of $15 billion/year in US products, so, Israel is giving the US foreign aid.

Israel is just returning some of the $25 to $30 billion dollars we rain on them every year (between foreign aid and highly favored importer status). Maybe you're too fucking stupid to understand that money doesn't do any good unless you spend it.

Reuters) - A former U.S. government scientist pleaded guilty on Wednesday to attempted espionage for passing top-secret national defense information to an undercover FBI agent posing as an Israeli intelligence officer.

The plea deal calls for Stewart Nozette, 54, of Chevy Chase, Maryland, to receive a sentence of 13 years in prison. The judge said at the hearing that he would accept the guilty plea and would impose the agreed-upon prison term.

Nozette admitted that in 2009 he provided classified information about U.S. satellites, early warning systems, defense or retaliation against large-scale attack, communications intelligence and key defense strategy elements.

You're allowed to be dumb:badgrin:

Israel receives approx. $3 billion/year in US military hardware, no economic aid.

By law, 75% of the aid must be invested with American defense contractors so the $$$ doesn't even leave the Federal Reserve and, in effect, ends up supporting thousands of American companies that employ millions of Americans.

Now, you know. :clap2:

JStone-bullshitter doesn't understand the concept of USA granting Israel the privilege of a free-trade agreement, and Israel being able to export into world's biggest market, duty-free. It is subvention from USA.

USA only granted this privilege to 17 countries, many of them insignificant Caribic islands.
Export.gov - FTA

Now S.Korea will also follow to strengthen them against China.
Then all the tech-transfer from USA to Israel, direct aid and indirect aid (financing of Arrow-2 missile-system etc).

In JStone's paralell-world it is Israel giving the USA the aid.

KPMG: Israel Spreading Its Wings, Growing Internationally
Israel's private equity sector has really only taken off in the last five years and it is increasingly ambitious internationally. Financed both by domestic sources and foreign investment, the capital exists to make a significant mark on the international financial scene. Hillel Schuster explains.

Israel has a dynamic, technologically advanced market economy, with a GDP of approximately US$200 billion. Over the past five years, GDP has grown by an average of five percent annually, while inflation has been near zero and the Israeli Shekel has remained stable versus the US Dollar. The Bank of Israel's interest rate is at a record low, at 0.5 percent, and is among the lowest in the world. Manufacturing (low-to-high technology products and services), constitutes 87 percent of total exports. In addition, there are more Israeli-domiciled companies traded on NASDAQ (currently 63) than in any country outside the US.

The country's entrepreneurial and competitive environment is underpinned by a number of cultural and social factors. Education is one of the key drivers with high numbers of science and engineering students graduating each year - Israel boasts a ratio of 135 scientists per 100,000 workers, the highest in the world

In all, approximately US$4.2 billion of capital has been invested in Israeli private equity firms10. Markstone Capital, with nearly US$800 million of assets under management, is supported among others by the New York State retirement fund. Tene Capital was established to invest into Israel's kibbutzim (community cooperatives) and is supported by local financial institutions.

There are minimal requirements to apply to be listed on NASDAQ, and every company can apply to be traded on NY stock-exchange unless there are US sanctions against particular country from where the companies come from.

Most of Israeli companies, which are listed on NASDAQ are tiny-scale with just some millions of turnover.
They go to NASDAQ because the Tel-Aviv Stock-exchange is a kindergarten Stock-exchange with tiny market-capitalization.

Stock-exchange in Frankfurt has market-capitalization of 1.5 Trillion $.
German companies don't need to go to New York as they can meet their financing requirements from investors based in Frankfurt.
Understand?

When you look at the NASDAQ, companies are listed from around the world. There's one country, though, that truly stands out and that is Israel

All this stuff was in Wikileaks.

It doesn't matter. This was a case of the FBI running a false flag operation, and it had nothing to do with Israel. To my knowledge the only confirmed case of Israel spying on the US is the Pollard case.

Iscar is exceptional. I can give you an absolute, unequivocal answer You can go around the world and it's very impressive when a country of 7 million people turns out a business like this. I haven't seen anything like this in the United States. We were measuring Iscar against everything we see in the world.
