Israel have won the UNESCO battle, but not the war

"The vote was 33 in favor, six against and 19 abstentions. Two countries were absent from the room.

On Tuesday, a similar text failed to gain majority, passing 24 to six, with 26 abstentions. Two countries were not present.

On top of that, Mexico, who traditionally votes against Israel, announced that it withdrew its support and Brazil indicated it might do likewise should the resolution come again before the board."

The war is still far from over

UNESCO adopts anti-Israel resolution on al-Aqsa Mosque

UN agency passes resolution that criticises Israeli policies around al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied East Jerusalem.

leaders have welcomed a decision by the United Nations cultural agency to adopt a resolution on occupied East Jerusalem that sharply criticises Israeli policies around the al-Aqsa Mosque compound, while Israel says it ignores Jewish ties to the key holy site.

A spokesman for Paris-based UNESCO said on Tuesday that the resolution, which caused Israel to suspend its cooperation with the agency, was adopted without a new vote after being approved at the committee stage last week.

I'm not sure how this in any way counts as a win. Fewer nations who should know better, in front of a UN Committee which was created to know better, now vote that the Jewish Holy Place is, you know, not Jewish.

No Muslims were oppressed in the making of this UNESCO resolution.

The Jewish people are the only ones experiencing oppression at their Holy Places.

I hope there will be justice for Muslims that are systematically being oppressed by Israel.

I hope that there will be justice for Jews oppressed by islamonazi terrorists, white supremacists and neo nazi morons by the UN passing an international law making such actions illegal and punishable by death

Good article here, Shusha Too bad that the anti-Semites who are cheering on UNESCO trying to take away the Jewish holy sites are too moronic and unable to see the truth.

UNESCO Vote Hurts Palestinian Cause

What the Palestinians have done by changing the topic to denying Jewish ties to Jerusalem is something else. It is, in effect, a dropping of the veil from their purported desire ... when the Jewish state’s foes seek to declare Jerusalem a purely Islamic holy place, their ultimate purpose comes into view.

This.
