Israel has barred a group of Palestinian firefighters from attending a ceremony where At least 10 Palestinians were invited to attend the event in northern Israel, where the four-day fire left 41 people dead and ravaged large swaths of forest.
they were to be honoured for their help in battling a deadly forest fire last week.
But Ahmad Tibi, an Arab member of the Israeli parliament and one of the organisers of the ceremony, said the event was cancelled when three of the Palestinians were refused entry permits to Israel on Tuesday. He said the military had turned the firefighters away on security grounds.
"It's a theatre of the absurd," he told The Associated Press news agency. "This is a regular day-to-day practice of the occupation, and it exposes its ugly face."
The Israeli military said the Palestinians were denied entry due to a "technical mistake". It said permits have now been issued, and it later issued a statement expressing "regret" for the incident.
But Ahmed Rizek, the Palestinian fire chief whose permit arrived too late for him to attend, said entry refusals for no apparent reason were routine for many Palestinians.

Very sad to hear. Very bad blunder. Someone should have intervened. Very disappointing.

The sad thing is, Israel never misses as chance to miss a chance, when will they see that they are really just cousins ?

I realize someone like you will never understand it, because only a dead jew is a good one to you. However in Palestinian schools, mosques and on their TV they preach extreme violence against the Jews. Suicide bombers have walked into densely populated areas and killed 100s of Jews. Israelis don't want the security measures (because after all, previously to the intifadas, where the need for the security measures tighted, many Palestinian CONSUMERS and workers came to Israel to WORK and SPEND MONEY), but they are necessary to prevent a lot of bad apples from blowing up the bunch!

However, as always you ignore parts where Jews are NOT vilified as demons!

LOL just like P F Tinmore and Boy George, you have never been to Israel and have never seen them interact! Yet your a pro on life in Israel! Makes perfect senses to me.

First, if they just got through and were honored, AS THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN, then do you think Al Jazeera would have picked up that story? NOPE! See AL Jazeera and about 90% of the news outlets out their don't report any good news on Israel, they look only to report the bad news and in many cases defamatory news, because after all they want to appeal to their audience - a reporting on good deeds surely doesn't do that!

Hey, GString...

What are the noble Jews being taught in their schools?

"All non-Jews are totally satanic creatures 'in whom there is absolutely nothing good.'

"Even a non-Jewish embryo is qualitatively different from a Jewish one.

""The very existence of a non-Jew is "non-essential", whereas all creation was created solely for the sake of the Jews."'

"There are many such passages.

"What makes such texts particularly significant, Shahak explains, is that 'n Israel these ideas are widely disseminated among the public at large, in the schools and in the army.'

"In a booklet published by the Israeli Army for its soldiers, Shahak reports, the Chief Chaplain wrote:

"'When our forces come across civilians during a war or in hot pursuit or in a raid, so long as there is no certainty that those civilians are incapable of harming our forces, then according to the Halakhah they may and even should be killed ... In war, when our forces storm the enemy, they are allowed and even enjoined by the Halakhah to kill even good civilians, that is, civilians who are ostensibly good.'"

Are you going to be really surprised one day to learn some Jews are as Evil as any Nazi or Arab who ever lived?

Maybe you're one of them.

Hypocrite.

We know, we know, arabs cry apartheid, while lowing and winging to get in to enjoy it. Same as with the former South Africa.

Israel is a better place to live than your shitty Spain, mariposa.

Let's not forget Spain's bloody genocide of the 400 year Spanish Inquisition.

The UN ranks Israel among the 15 best countries to live in (out of 170 countries) in the world and with the highest qualities of life, emphasizing political and cultural freedom and equality in education, healthcare, life expectancy and income, ahead of England, Spain, Greece, Italy, Finland, Belgium, Denmark, Luxembourg and Austria

Statistics | Human Development Reports (HDR) | United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)
Human Development is a development paradigm that is about much more than the rise or fall of national incomes. It is about creating an environment in which people can develop their full potential and lead productive, creative lives in accord with their needs and interests. People are the real wealth of nations. Development is thus about expanding the choices people have to lead lives that they value. And it is thus about much more than economic growth, which is only a means —if a very important one —of enlarging people’s choices.

Fundamental to enlarging these choices is building human capabilities —the range of things that people can do or be in life. The most basic capabilities for human development are to lead long and healthy lives, to be knowledgeable, to have access to the resources needed for a decent standard of living and to be able to participate in the life of the community. Without these, many choices are simply not available, and many opportunities in life remain inaccessible.

This is a regular day-to-day practice of the occupation

The IslamoNazi occupation, Ho Say...

We are under occupation,” said Abu Mohammed, a secular businessman with close family ties to the old Fatah security services. “After the takeover [of Gaza], people thought it might get better if the religious guys were in charge of the money, that security would improve and corruption would end. But they’re just as corrupt: If you’re not in Hamas, you get nothing. If anyone does anything, they are arrested, tortured or killed. Just like with the Israelis. Except the Jews always give you a lawyer.”

People are very angry. They have no money, no lives, no jobs and not even useful resistance against the enemy of Israel,” he said. “People will try and get rid of Hamas but right now they can’t because it’s too strong. There was a legal rally by Fatah supporters on the anniversary of Yasser Arafat’s death to honor their leader and to complain that Hamas was violating human rights promised under the constitution of the Palestinian people. It got out of control when the Hamas police told everyone to go home.

This sparked a crackdown on political dissent throughout Palestine that continues to this day, with Hamas harassing and jailing Fatah supporters in Gaza. The Palestinian constitution protects the right of the people to peacefully assemble at anytime for political protest,” he said. “It’s a very progressive and wonderful law. But because Hamas can only control traffic and not how people meet privately, they decided to ban all public protests through decree of the police chief. Torture is a chronic problem here and on the West Bank, we have both sides using illegal and arbitrary detention and it’s led to a systematic deterioration of human rights over the past four years.
