Are you suggesting that the attack was actually random?

Of course it was deliberate, just like the attack that sank the Kocatepe was deliberate, that does not negate the possibility that it was the result of faulty intelligence.

Deliberate meaning Israel KNEW that it was a US ship and attacked anyway in an attempt to blame it on Egypt and bring the US into the war on their side.

It almost worked too. We launched nuclear armed bombers in response to the attack, they were headed to bomb Egypt before we called them off.

Were those people on the Liberty were actually part of a secret Cold War thought reading program developed to fend off the Soviet version of psychic warfare, and able to read the minds of the Israeli's who were shooting at them?

We were going to nuke Egypt? What possible source do you have to document this claim? Do you want me to believe that Johnson was willing to go to nuke Egypt, which was an ally of Russia at the time, and risk GLOBAL THERMONUCLEAR WAR because one ship was sunk?

Do you also believe that crop circles are proof of extra terrestrial visitation, that the Illuminati actually control the world, and that microchips are a device of the Anti-Christ?

This stuff just gets stranger every time you post.

Are you stating that the marines that survived the attack are lying when they state that they watched Israeli's machine gun life boats?

What part of my statement are you having trouble comprehending?

Which part of my question are you having trouble answering?

You fucking dumb ass....
Israel specifically attacked the ship on purpose with the intention to blame it on Egypt in order to bring the US into the war...
What does this have to do with machine gunning life boats?
You can take your whacko conspiracy theories and shove them up your ass.

It happened while there was a hot war where the egyptians had a reputation for false flagging, the Israelis were told no US ships were in the area, the Israelis admitted their mistake, apologized.

It is the reason wars are a bad way of doing politics. Stupid stuff happens that is fatal for lots of really good folks.

It also happened 47 years ago.

Since then the arabs have committed several atrocities far worse. For example the Marine barracks in Beirut. For which we have never received an apology.

These Israeli Hamas threads can go on and on and on, just like the conflict.

I would have thought if Hamas cared about the Palestinian people when Israel left Gaza, undefeated and with no conditions, Hamas would have said, we will build a proto state here and prove to the world what such a state on the West Bank can be and would look like. Aid would have flooded in from a West just tired of the entire thing. And the pressure then on Israel to give up most of the West Bank would have been intense.

But no, Hamas is wedded to a dead God calling for blood, and so real blood is what they get.

Fuck, I would weep if this shit was not so insane.

Didn't Israel lose a destroyer in the first use of anti-ship cruise missiles around that time?

Israel "left" in 2005. Hamas was not elected until 2006. In the years leading up to the disengagement Israel made Gaza's economy dependent on Israel. Israel would bulldoze Palestinian greenhouses, for example, so that Palestinians had to work in Israeli greenhouses.

When Israel left it cut the water to those greenhouses destroying the crops and rendering those greenhouses worthless. We have all heard the propaganda "Israel left those greenhouses to the Palestinians and the crazy Palestinians just destroyed them." The fact is that Israel made the greenhouses useless so the Palestinians took the parts and used them elsewhere.

Israel maintained control of imports, exports, and travel. Exporting farm produce had been a major source of income for Palestine since before there was an Israel. In 2005 hundreds of tons of produce and cut flowers rotted at the dock waiting for Israel's permits to ship.

When Hamas got elected in 2006 things got worse. And when Hamas had the coup that wasn't in 2007 things got worse still.
