This is not good. Hopefully, the town can fend off the following ISIS-attacks.

"The Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) has once again returned to the footsteps of the predominately Syriac Christian city of Sadad in the Homs Governorate’s eastern countryside after being routed from this area by a joint contingent of pro-government fighters from the Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP) and the National Defnese Forces (NDR) late last month.

On Monday evening, ISIS imposed full control over the small village of Al-Hadath in the Sadad countryside after a series of violent firefights with the National Defense Forces and the Syrian Social Nationalist Party; this firefight resulted in the withdrawal of the pro-government forces to the Sadad’s outskirts.

With Al-Hadath under the control of ISIS, the Syrian Social Nationalist Party and the National Defense Forces once again have their backs against the wall in Sadad, despite recapturing the neighboring town of Maheen from the terrorist group in late November of this year.

Should ISIS capture the Syriac Christian city of Sadad; it will not only displace more Syrian civilians, but also, allow for the terrorist group to cutoff the imperative Homs-Damascus Highway that was reopened by the Syrian government in the winter of 2014.

Most importantly, if ISIS were to capture the city of Sadad, they will be in position to strike the Lebanese border and the Qalamoun Mountains of Damascus from the Homs Governorate."
